How do you organize your character list?

Do you go by race? Armor class? alphabetically? Do you organize it at all?

I go down the list ,that’s the only way I can remember.

A specific class order on every server regardless of faction or version

This toon, followed by those geared enough to get gold from all WQs in random order, then max level toons that I haven’t geared in random order…followed by all of my non-max level toons in random order

I have my characters descending by level – Then I have my level 70’s in order of who is the most geared!

My “main” first, then ordered by classes I currently enjoy the most.

Order in which i wanna level em at this point.

(1st level capped character)
(2nd level capped character)
(Currently leveling character)
(Character still sitting at old cap that i plan on leveling next)
and so on

Organize? lol

On Thrall it’s just however it happened, I play my paladin fairly often, and she’s near the bottom. MoonGuard it’s by race though.

Both my bankers/auctioneers are at the top. Then this priest, then my mage. Anything below I swap around on a whim. A good majority of them are Whatevers as well.

It’s organized by race. I don’t even have to do anything.

A team: My top 4. Hunter, Pally, DH, SPriest

B character: 2nd Hunter when I want to play hunter, but my main doesnt have any objectives

C team: Farming characters. Warlock, Fury Warrior

D Team: Farming but rarely use Shaman, Evoker

E team: Cant even get to max. Rogue (maybe get to 70 this week) for lock boxes, DK (lvl 38)

F team: Should delete, but dont. Never make it lvl 20 characters

Most played to less played, usually
If Im playing an older character I move them up the list. Once theyre not being played as much they gradually work their way back down

Spreadsheets my friend, its all about spreadsheets

However, if you’re asking how I prioritize my character list in the game - its by level of importance.

I don’t need no stinking list!

Since I play on a set of 2 connected realms, Blizz really needs to do more realm connections though, I try to organize them so they mirror each other, so each class on one realm will be in the same slot on the other realm.

It goes Mains, Max Level, then least played

God you sound like me in a way. Like on my Alliance server I’ll have a Human Paladin and Mage and On my Horde Orc Warrior and Orc Warlock. Course my lists are so chaotic right now.

In order of creation.

My most cherished and oldest characters are at the top. Many aren’t even max level, they just sit as time capsules for the expansions in which I played them.

But I still play the ones at the bottom, generally my most recent.

Every expansion, I make a new alt, kinda been a thing for me since Legion at least.

They always rework specs and classes I main, so it serves as a secondary re-learning experience.

I also organize based on race, Illidan (my home server) is where my old troll main is, as well as several Draenei and one Lightforged Draenei.

Bleeding Hollow is where I played during BfA and Legion, it’s got my ‘human’ characters. An Undead Hunter and BrM Monk that I played during Legion, and several Kul’Tirans, a Hunter, a Shaman (Resto), and a Frost DK. Also a Worgen WW Monk.

Stormrage is the latest server I play on, I’ve got 4 different mechagnomes there, a Disc Priest, a Blood DK, a Mist Monk, and my favorite of late, a BM Hunter.

It took a lot of back and forth, screenshots and even at times use of my camera on my phone to get it all sorted, do the same thing for my action bars, take a screenshot of say my Horde Paladin, then hop to my Alliance Paladin and set the bars up identically.
