How do you mute "Shade of the Horseman"?

Questing in Elwynn. I’m tired of the constant dialogue from the Horseman. I wish there was a way to shut him up.

There is an addon called “Mute Sound File” (MSF).

Look up the WOW sound ID page and find the sound file(s) you hate the most.

Copy paste the sound ID(s) into the addon, test each one, then mute.

I love the dialogue, I just don’t like when it echoes or when he says one thing while saying another. It was not always like this, at least for me.

You can also use the addon to mute specific mount sounds too.

Like the heirloom Mount you get, since its loud do the same process, or the sky golem. etc. etc.

I miss my sound folder. I had replaced a couple of mount sounds with a crack of thunder sound effect. It was for the DK horse and the Cindermane Charger. It sounded epic and wasn’t that screeching whinny.

I want my custom sound folder back.

Open up options, system, sound and uncheck the dialog box. That will Mute the horseman and everyone else that likes to start talking.

I love listening to the Horseman. We only get two short weeks of it. Well besides my ring tone I mean. What?

My ringtone is the original WoW login music.

I don’t get very many calls, but when it plays randomly throughout the day, I love it!

Shameless necro to update this post for others who are tired of hearing the Shade of Horseman’s obnoxious yelling. I get it, it was entertaining the first time… Here are the sound files to mute using the MuteSoundFile Addon:

I’m having to manually search for them so if I missed any Ill update this post.
