Hello. Recently there was a thread about farming old raids for raw gold. But how do you make your gold? What are some of your best methods?

Engineer, selling mounts.
Paradigm caches during the WoW anni event.
I usually farm herbs. Sometimes ore, if it’s significantly more profitable, but usually herbs. I’ve tried playing the AH, but I’ve only ever lost gold trying to do so - Some might be able to do it pretty well, but I can’t.

And I know some of those people who make the gold making videos. They don’t share their ‘best’ gold making method until they have pulled out what they can from the market, if then.

I just play the game. They give me gold for doing stuff and killing things. Sometimes I make potions and flasks and sell them in the AH.

I sometimes farm old dungeons for transmog and sell it on the AH. Sometimes I craft gear too. And I do the money emissaries. But I kinda miss those easy big gold mission table missions.
Youtube and google are your friend.
And none of those fall under the ‘best’ gold making methods.
I remember a video from one of these guys, he discovered something and then milked it for years on the servers he played on before he published it to share. I think he prefaced it with, it is time I share this…
Do gold WQs, pick up every single bit of trash off dead bodies then vendor, then don’t spend any of it.

Ah see I make my gold very very slowly. Overtime I get random things in my inventory and vendor them! whispers dont tell anyone my secret or I’ll send the rogues to vendor you.
Run old raids. Vendor everything. It’s lazy and I don’t make that much, but hey. It’s a little bit at a time.
Passively. The game provides a large amount of it by just playing the game, but you have to be an altaholic to really enjoy doing it that way. Majority of my gold comes from Emissary, Paragon Chests, World Quests, and Mission Board across multiple characters. Alliance I have 12 main characters, and 2 subs; Horde has 8 characters.
Without doing any kind of farming, auction house, or interacting with other players; I make around 125k to 150k in gold a week, enough to buy a Gold token every other week. Mostly use it on blizzard balance up to $100 for future purchases then game time which I’m currently up to July 2021.
Don’t spend it and be patient.
