As the title says, i am interested how you guys like the Horrific Visions.
I personally did like them at first, but the paint chipped very fast on them.
By the time i needed 2 Torn Pages i could do 2 side areas and then run out of time. Did that two times.
Now the Quest requires 4 Torn Pages … and i run in, do two side areas and the boss. Twice. In a row. And i start to get bored .
Then the Quest require 6 Torn Pages … … ok. So i run that three times in a row, doing the exact same, turning in the quest.
BAM: 8 Torn Pages required … …
What i would have enjoyed allot more then just having a reused Stormwind/Orgrimmar would have been if there where no additional areas but if the Vision would be more what we seen in the fight against Yogg-Saron … a Scenario Type Dungeon that can be played alone or in a group that shows possible outcomes in the future when N’Zoth wins.
That could be showing who is sitting on the Throne in Stormwind or Orgrimmar now, or who switched sides to N’Zoth first … even showing off possible glory after N’Zoth wins would have been interesting.
But anyway, i want to know who else does not really enjoy Horrific Visions …
Quite the contrary, I enjoy horrific visions a lot and really appreciate the Developer’s efforts at introducing solo progression content, in addition to existing content.
I enjoy them for its difficulty. I’m going to reattempt a solo 4 lost mask run tonight. Messed up my last one because of a fear into two other groups… I know I can complete it though.
What I’m getting at is there can be a good challenge (and gear) if that’s what you’re looking for.
I have a feeling the Torghast Tower will be very similar to Visions only RNG-RPG levels so you won’t know where to go or how to beat them.
I kinda like the premise of them. I feel they are sorta over-tuned for anyone under ilevel 440? But kinda weak for anyone over 460? At least that’s what I’m hearing from people. But sockets are the only thing you get so meh?
Don’t worry … i liked your reply. I am not against people trying to convince me they are good. Though i think, once we have Rank 15 with the Cloak they will get more fun.
That actually sounds like fun. As i just said, i think the real fun part comes when the Cloak is Rank 15 and you can challenge yourself … right now its more of a slow grind to get to Rank 15 with the Cloak.
I would actually like it, if the Visions(as i said) where not only 2, but multiple and then you never really know in which one you end up getting into. Also having Special ones for Groups of 5 would help allot.
I did like the premise originally … but then the Quest sucked the fun out of them for me.
I am particular in what I find fun and like in general. I did the visions a few times, the actual bit of content is… meh. I don’t raid or m+ so no real incentive. Cosmetic fluff doesn’t do much to incentivize me.
I donno… I think like you said, the ‘‘paint chipped’’ fast. I did it the few handful of levels… and then like, ‘‘ok… well glad that’s over’’. That’s just not the way I should feel. I should want to do more and enjoy it, and not be glad it’s over, lol.
I like the content - WAY BETTER than island expeditions and warfronts
I dislike that they had to do so many “gates”
time-gate (you can only go up 1 rank a week, no matter how much you play)
resource-gate (10,000 of a resource for an attempt is obnoxious)
materials-gate (ok they fixed some of this, but the whole concept of keeping you to 2 per run was idiocy)
And I truly hate that I can’t help friends do it. I already ran my 3 runs today to get masks and won’t have vessels to help friends. So much for MMO, eh? I don’t get why we couldn’t choose to use a vessel (get rewards) or not (no rewards, but you can run it)… sort of like bonus rolls even if you have to make the choice before entering the vision…
They can be as hard or as easy as you want them. The one this week is super easy.
Now that we can get more currency I may try to full clear. I usually go with a friend or two.
i like the solo mode on vision this means my effort are not leech by random players .I have full control of my own game style and that how i enjoy game. Also soon im grouped with random players everything is weird in this game nothing match. Season 1+2 on mythic mode was great but Blizzard really face a wall season 3 and season 4 they fall on coccaine witch was tested positive blue by corruption . Corruption can be great if the enemy cast or apply on the effects on players. WTF is corruption do to players blizzard will see very soon when people are going to stop adding effort on there investment. but blizzard gonna need money of course more micro transactions to catch up the bad investment .
I hate them now. First one today I made it 4ft and DC’d from the game and only the game. well thats a key wasted and gone. 3rd time thats happened now. Then right after went into another one and full cleared it with 2 orbs still left. could have 3 left but I poped it before Thrall just because.
If Blizzards crappy servers can’t handle me jumping off my mount and casting Outbreak at the same time as the only reason I fail them makes it a very very bad experience.
I dislike them because my game depends on upgrades which are mandatory if you want to get better. It would not be bad if they were optional like expeditions. The cloak is a centerpiece of 8.3.
To top it all you need grind the currency to run them and if you fail you lost it all, which is a way of grief to some of us.
