do you do all the quests in an area or stick to campaign only?

this is my biggest gripe… in dragon flight it was pretty straightforward , the war within is a whole other monster… I was trying to do exactly that do isle of dorn first , the the ringing deeps then hallowfall then spider hole… but now they got me going every where except isle of dorn 85 % of the content is underground… all its all just humanoids and may alittle bit of elementsls now I understand why the nerfed the human racial…

Nope, the main campaign is linear (the quests with the ‘shield’ background to the yellow ‘!’), I’ve done Dorn->Deeps->Hallow with no diversions … I suspect you’re doing non-main campaign quests.

Currently doing the main campaign. Starting to think I need to pad that experience a bit with Delves or something though, because i’m just now hitting 75 and JUST got to Ahj’kahet

Campaign mostly for the first one, then do side stuff with alts to mix things up a bit so it’s not just constant repetition.

I’ll do literally whatever i feel like. If i want to do some pvp, i’ll do that. if i want to quest, i’ll do a little of that. I don’t look for the best area/fastest leveling experience as I like to just enjoy it on my own.

Normally i do all the quests in a zone then move on but that kinda backfired here.
If i could give advise on how to level this exp it would be, rush the Main story till you get to the quest where you have to go to hallowfall, then go backto isle or dorn and start knocking out every quest you can find, and then do the same thing in the ringing deeps. If you do that, by the time you get done with ringing deeps i would wager you would be proabbly 78 going into Hallow fall and then you will be 80 if you just rush the Main story quest from then on.
For TWW I did all the quests I possibly could along the way. I wasn’t in any rush to get to the end of the campaign or to hit 80 but did in a relatively short time.

Getting ready to leave Ringing, but i have been mining, herbing and side quests. I’m close to level 79.
on the first character i did the campaign and dungeons but it’s a good idea to knockout all the side quests while leveling instead of at 80 so two birds one stone
I follow the campaign to an area, do all the side quests then move on to the next hub following the campaign. Reading everything as a go.
For a new expansion, at least.

Depends on what toon I’m leveling. I first go through with my main and do literally everything available. So I’m always leveled long before the campaign is done. Every other toon I level in the areas and content I prefer.
Varies. Sometimes I feel like Campaign only; other times I work on whatever’s in the immediate area.
One character was exclusively campaign with a few side quests. The only instances I went into were ones I was sent to.
Second character was strictly instances.
I’ve still got work to do on Isle of Dorn and I’m almost 75. I assume this zone caps off with at least one dungeon quest so …
I’ll be hitting 80 early-to-mid Ringing Deeps which is insane.

Quests are boring, I do them once and that’s enough.
My first character, i just did the campaign, and then mined till I hit 80. Managed to get my engineering to 92 in the process. My druid is currently farming elite mobs and skinning them for exp. 70-72 so far. Most of my alts are crafters, so crafting everything for the first time gives you a nice chunk of ez exp.
DF was straight forward if you started and stayed the entire expansion. I took a year break and came back and was so overwhelmed with quests it was hard to keep up on the storyline. I had not done any quests leading up to Fyrakk but yet he was flying around the plains burning everything. I didn’t do anything with the Emerald Dream yet but could go and unlock the zone, it was confusing for returning players.
I jimmyjammed the main story and only the main story and it barely got me to 76.
So I would recommend people do a few sidequests along the way.
