Do you prefer questing? If so, do you turn on Warmode? Do you prefer running islands? Or perhaps you prefer to do instances? Or maybe even you prefer to farm herbs, minerals, and archaeology?
What is YOUR leveling preference?

Same as how i always level. Only killing boars.
Azeroth autopilot and mentally afk while i watch videos.
Painfully

I take a three pronged approach. Main Quest line, Pet Battles always queued, Dungeons always queued.
That’s how I level through all content actually.
This ^ I miss being able to grind dungeons to level up. I know you still can but the EXP is a joke from dungeons. Since they introduced on rails leveling in Cata I feel like the leveling experience is a lot less fun (for me). I really only play one character now and I haven’t leveled up alts since WoD so it doesn’t really affect me anymore.
i dont, i just dont
Don’t get me wrong I enjoy leveling on the lower end I just find Leveling in BfA or anything BfA right now painful
I’m one of those people who like to quest and pick up absolutely everything I pass by in the process. It usually takes quite a while.
I chain tank dungeons. I find that the most fun.
Islands are just disgustingly bad - especially with people who like to vote people out because they are doing the content (it still happens, I had a guy tell me that if I even left the boat he would vote me out - and he did - and this was just a few weeks ago).
My dps toons all struggle and very few are 120, but my tanks literally sail 110-120 in no time. But I am just too impatient to wait in queue as a dps.
I do quests. I kind of zone out while I do them after I’ve done them before unless there was a quest chain/zone I particularly enjoyed, then I’ll pay attention to the text and stuff.
Park it at island expedition table and spam it. The only time you move from there when you hit 110, 114, 118 to do “footholds”, and those are like 20 minute questchains each. Every other time you’re parked at Island expedition table for 70K+ XP for 5 minute island expedition instance and leveling up your necklace.
Just questing, nothing else. If motivated enough I can speed through at a brisk pace. I do use warmode for leveling, on my realm it’s not really an issue as long as I avoid incursion areas.
I forgot to mention heirlooms
Questing and exploration supplemented by gathering professions and the occasional bit of archaeology.
If I’m trying to be efficient I’ll quest in each zone until friendly (for WQ unlock), then just IE spam the rest of the way
I’m leveling a holy priest right now, currently 115. I thought I could do mostly quests because I want the rep and flight paths unlocked. So I switched to Shadow spec. But I just do not like the play style so I stopped questing, went back to holy and started doing the timewalking dungeons. It’s currently MoP which are quick.
With a bottle of J.D and lots of of netflicks.
From 1-90, I dungeon because it’s fast and less tedious than questing.
From 100-110, I do a combination of questing (more like bonus objectives and treasure hunting) and dungeons because the questing is faster in WoD and Legion.
In BfA, the dungeons are way, WAY too slow as a means of leveling, but the gear rewards make it worth a trip.
I quest my way to a dungeon quest and then do the dungeon. I don’t bother with islands because the leveling is way too slow, and the ap gains are negligible. You actually level the necklace faster by purposefully killing every star mob you see as you quest through a zone and then hitting the mission table and WQs hard at 120.
Skip heroic dungeons. Use World Quests, Warfronts, Emissary rewards, BoE gear, and Crafted items to get your ilvl to 340. After that, get into LFR and M0 dungeons. You can be 370 two days after you ding 120 without really working that hard. I’ve done it three times in a row with my alts.
I actually enjoy the BfA leveling experience, to be honest. Of all the different sections of the grind from 1-120, I like 20-40 and 110-120 best.
Questing along with gathering and pet battles. No Warmode. Takes about 7 hours for most of my characters.
Alliance: Drustvar → Stormsong Valley → if not 120 then Tirasgarde Sound.
Horde: Nazmir → Vol’dun → if not 120, then Zuldazar.
