Because I need it for my “aiding the accord” but I don’t visit sites like WOWhead or use addons. Is there a way in game to know when the next one will be?
look at the map and there is a horn with a timer
and you have 17m to get there

As far as alts go…From what I can tell you need to be 70 in order to see the horn or maybe it is renown 5 with the dragonscale expedition. None of my alts can see it at all right now, and it sucks. They can take part in the event just fine though. I’ve been using Wowhead for a timer myself. Works well, cause it also has a timer for the community feast, which my alts can also not see on it (but can take part in).
For some reason all my alts see the great hunts just fine. Sooo intended? bugged?
The prep stage is 15 to the hour, and the siege starts about 2-3 mins after the hour.
There is an NPC in Valdrakken near the tower of the Aspects who announces the siege periodically. If you are in the vicinity you should be able to see that.
why don’t you visit sites like wowhead or use addons? I mean … “I am thirsty, but I don’t do things like drink water or eat highly-hydrated foods.” The only other way is to look at your map and watch for the horn over the waking shores.

The event is on a 2 hour loop, alternating every hour at the top of the hour.
The event has one hour in which it won’t be available (The Obsidian Outcasts are gathering. The siege will begin soon.) and one hour in which it is available for the taking (The Obsidian Outcasts are attempting to take Dragonbane Keep. Assistance is requested.)
It will say that latter thing for the entire hour where it was available, but in reality it’s over in about the first 8 minutes. On my server, it seems to be available at the top of every even hour.
To be fair a sooner in game announcement would be a welcome change for everyone and hurt no one
So instead of having to travel to the well we put in plumbing and walk to the kitchen

Siege of Dragonbane Keep? That’s easy.
Always starts at odd-numbered hours PST (so 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, etc.). It’s the easiest event in the game to predict the start time. It typically starts a minute or two after the turn of the hour and the event is complete within 6 minutes.
It’s harder to predict the timing for Community Feast event, but you can get a weakaura for that.
Easiest response? Wowhead. It gives you timers of sieges,hunts, and community feasts.
Again, don’t use outside sites. WoWhead was known for having bad ads, never went there again after that.

Wowhead has adds? I’ve been using addblockers for so long I’ve never noticed LOL
Can someone confirm wowhead has malicious adds? I’ve never heard that rumor myself.
Am I the only one that checks Wowhead and it’s wrong? I see the horn on the map then fly in the zone and it disappears. It’s unreliable.
Use weakauras and import the event timer string- best way to do it .
Lol… Wowhead has been spot on for all events for me so far.
It doesn’t show up on my map most of the times. If I don’t open up wowhead I never know when it’s happening.
