How do you ignore someone whose profile is hidden?

There are several people that I desire to block, but who have hidden profiles. The option to block someone does not seem to be available if that person hides their profile. Is there a workaround for this?

You go to your profile in the top right → preferences → users and you can type in their name.

The trolls are often making their accounts private to make it harder to ignore them.

Someone must have said “there” instead of “their”

No, more like someone accused me of lying about getting a clone related email from blizzard and when I posted screenshots of the proof just stopped posting in the thread.

A dishonorable and dishonest person who I wish to block with extreme prejudice.

Fan-boys are blind like fools.

(Kayberz is the individual that did this. I want to block him but he makes it difficult by locking his account.)

No idea how to block in the forums. Best of luck on the quest to find the answer to that.

Ignore lists are great I love filling them up I throw people on them all the time, I have no idea who this person is but I’ll ignore Kayberz in solidarity.

I’d delete the name and not risk being actioned for naming and shaming.

It’s a very useful tool. It’s arrogant to believe that a person must have to deal with another persons trash viewpoints.

It just may, feeling free to ignore useless drama from jerks is fantastic!

Ignoring other peoples “trash viewpoints” doesn’t make them disappear.

One only has to look at the emerging digital/political landscape of divergent social media platforms that foster echo chambers and enable people to indulge their confirmation bias for “news”(propaganda) rather than objective sources to get a glimpse at how people are becoming increasingly tribalistic and combative because they just interact exclusively with people that agree with them rather than be challenged by ideas outside their narrow scope

Kayberz, you demanded proof that Blizzard sent out clone emails and then when proof was presented you simply slinked away and abandoned that thread entirely.

You wanna talk about an echo chamber? How about the echo chamber where you reflexively and tribalistically refuse to even acknowledge that your position has been objectively refuted?

While true, it makes my life much better. For instance, I ignore every clone thread, there are too many and it’s annoying.

We’re talking about a gaming forum here, take it easy. It’s not going to shatter the earth if I choose to ignore a poster or two here.

I will concede that the emails exist, however i did not receive those emails, which im assuming means they did not send them to people that didn’t have an active subscription, or they required you to sign up to their newsletter to receive them, which excludes the demographic of people that would most be in need of receiving such an email, as the people that have an active subscription during that time or are subscribed to the newsletter would already be in the loop.

Are you done obsessing over me not replying to you now?

I love it when people type a novel to declare how they’re above it all.

This was already the majority of the world long before the internet, the internet may exacerbate it but the issue was already beyond resolving prior to WW1.

What you seem to be upset about is that people have the option to just leave when you start spouting off. Nobody is presenting “challenging viewpoints” on the WoW forums, if someone is blocking you it means they just legit do not care about what you have to say. Assuming “lmao offended” is pretty immature.

After being given the directions needed for ignoring another poster it didn’t work for you?

You think it’s bugged or something?
