I really want to know because I was in multiple pugs and it is just god-awful. I have to literally stand inside the boss to heal the tanks and then run across to heal the range. Then we have all these mechanics causing us to spread stuff out on the floor. As well as getting flown out and about during her push back.
Like ??? We weren’t able to Beta test this but shouldn’t Devs have? LOL!
Blizzard hate Dracthyr Evoker it’s the only reason I can think of to explain this mess like they’ve refused to really listen too feedback since the beginning and their continuing the Trend into 9.0.5
Like I would love to watch a live stream of you playing and showing us all because I’m in no way a beginner player or a beginner evoker I have been playing since Beta and now live.
It is BARELY functional STRESSFUL and your abilities are not utilized to the highest potential.
Core abilities are cut off and not made use of because of this casting range.
I don’t want to go on and type up the rest of the class. But these are the core abilities that total for more than 25-40% of their healing and yet it’s 40 yds and easy to apply.
Evokers are dependent on Emerald Blossom, Dream Breath, and Spiritbloom if we can’t do it we don’t heal effectively.
We simply cannot Living Flame and Reversion spam because of how little it heals. As well as reversion has charge limits. lol
I havent raided yet, I can only assume it would be a bad idea to have evokers trying to juggle raid healing AND tank healing and just have another healer assigned to tanks.
Evokers are sort of the worst for tank healing anyway arent they?
Evokers aren’t tank or spot healers and that’s totally ok. Not every healing class excels at everything, they can have their strengths and weakness. That’s why you bring multiple healers to raid.
You’re mistaken. Data is showing that Evokers are currently the strongest healer in every form of content. Your example with both holy priest and resto shaman are moot because they are the #2 and #3 throughput healers in a raid environment, of which Evoker is ahead of both of them as well.
Druid is the best, not evoker according to icy veins.
Hpally, and DIsc is the best healer followed by resto druid, holy priest, and mist weaver monk.
I don’t know where you are getting your data.
Whilst I do agree evoker has high aoe throughput it is where they are formidable. But that just means you can’t succeed with an Evoker healer and another evoker in 2/2/6 or 2/3/9 seemed literally impossible with a double evoker composition. Which DOES not happen if you stack double priest or double shaman or double druid or double MW or etc.
WHY? Well, this is pure because their kit doesn’t have tank healing in it. The healing range is god-awful.
Historical data is showing preservation evoker is currently above and beyond every single healer right now.
The above combined with their higher than average healer damage means they are the meta choice for M+. Their mobility along with healing means they are the meta choice in PVP.
Druid is good in M+ but historically hasn’t been great in raid.
Paladin is great in raid but isn’t really great in pvp and is okish in M+.
Most of the healers have at least 1 form of content where they excel in. Evoker is currently good in ALL forms of content, and not in a “all rounder, master of none” sort of way - it is currently the highest performing healing spec in the entire game.
