So I joined up to a guild on Kel’Thuzad ran by a popular streamer and chatted with the officer a lot before joining. Then once I got into the guild I said hi and went on with gaming. About 20 minutes later I was running Torghast when randomly I was gkicked by another officer. I went to ask why I was kicked but was on ignore.
My question is should I ask them on an alt why I was kicked or just let it go? In all honesty I had just joined and was caught completely off-guard by the out of the blue gkick.
I said nothing to no one; no one said anything to me. I can’t perceive anything that could have been wrong and no one will talk to me. What does this mean and how should I proceed?
This is a very strange experience that I’ve never been through in all my time playing this game.
I’d just let it go honestly. If they got you on ignore trying to contact them through alts could get you a harrassment report, even if its for something as simple as finding out why you were kicked; better to just leave it at that than risk anything.
I wouldn’t worry about it. If it’s a popular streamer the guild is probably around member cap and someone wanted a friend in. Don’t join a streamer guild. Join an actual guild. They almost assuredly have Discords for the fans. Join that and ignore the Guild.
I’ll do that then. I had known a few people in the guild since MoP and joined up to game with them. I guess I’ll make new friends and not associate with anyone from that guild anymore. I got standards for how people treat me ya know?
Most of the time I think It’s a merciful favor. And the one getting the boot Is the one who actually wins. If you didn’t do anything wrong then why hang yourself under that kind of leadership.
Streamer guilds tend to not really do anything anyway. They just get filled up with randoms who never talk, raid, instance and are there for the streamer to feel validated, popular and get easy access to gold and items because fans think they will get noticed.
Vow eternal vengeance and spend the next five years plotting an extremely elaborate borderline ridiculous series of revenge plans. Pettiness knows no bounds!
Consider yourself lucky. Guilds these days unless its a roleplay focused kind, they LOVE to rip you off. Back in WoD, even very late for me to come back to WoW at the time, had a guild that kept “stealing” gear and fed it into the tanks unless it wasn’t their type of weapons/armor. I dunno how relevant it is now with how loot is distributed but we used an addon that helps with it automatically, dunno how THAT worked but it was clear it wasn’t working since the addon had to parts where the master addon (Usually controlled by the Guild master) has all control over what drops and is then given to from there.
So I pretty much didn’t get any gear throughout Hellfire Citadel until Legion rolled around. I left the guild before that point and sometime later they tried to invite me in despite making it clear to the entire guild before leaving it they’re stealing your gear just to let the tanks have it.
I wouldn’t call it being kicked from the guild but it sure felt like getting kicked in the teeth for wasting my time that month…
