How do you guys level up quickly? I’m new

Used chromie time for legion. I got my 3 spec artifact weapons, and have done some of the legion campaign (although now I’m no longer new markers for the campaign and I have to seek them out instead.) Anyways, I’m doing the warrior campaign and it’s getting to the point where these places are way too far to get to without a flying mount and enemies 2 shot me along the way.

It says you can reach level 60 in about 14 hours on legion. I’ve been playing for 36, level 17 now.

I didn’t think you could use Chromie time until you had already leveled a character.

Yes but I leveled the stupid way, not knowing what I was doing. Took me 4 weeks to get to 70.

I just dungeon spam. I level up from capital cities in just a few days.

I’d go insane.

I just spam dungeons with cataclysm chromie time, and get to 60 in about two days if I’m not distracted. Then dungeon again to 70 for another one, but DPS ques and all.

I don’t know what this means. Also, I think you get flying automatically now.

Classic (Cata), TBC, and Wrath are the best imo because they all have the quests at the beginning and those can be at least a level in themselves if there’s a few.

Running around picking up nonsensical quests and killing enemies.

I’ve always leveled fastest using the Warlords of Draenor content. I usually let my alts sit for a full amount of rested then combine that with double gathering, quests and battle pets. YMMV.

Anything pre-mop is the way to go, because those dungeon quests are plentiful and juicy.

When people say they level via Legion or Warlords using chromie time, does that mean they just dungeon spam via the random dungeon finder in that expansion?

Once you get to level 30 you will be able to fly which speed things up.

Here are my tips:

  • Do Warlords of Draenor rather than Legion. Do all the extra zones quests; they show up as a crossed swords marker on the map. They give very good exp.
  • Make sure you always leave your character in a city or inn to get the best possible rested experience bonus.
  • Whenever Darkmoon Faire is on, go there and ride the carousel for the 10% extra experience bonus. If you save up the currency you can earn there, you can buy hats from a vendor that apply the bonus again if you lose it.
  • Queue’d dungeons can earn you a decent amount of experience, and you can do them in between questing.
  • take herbing and mining as your professions and pick up any as you travel. They give very decent experience. I levelled a character from 60 to 70 in a very short time doing purely gathering and some questing for gear.

Hope that all helps.

I’m a dungeon leveler, and for me the last time I leveled a character the fastest que’s for a dps was Burning Crusade for me, average wait was about 2 minutes or less. And the dungeons there are quick and simple. But that was a little while back during the Diablo 4 xp buff event so might be diff now.

Sometimes, but the fastest thing to do will be whatever keeps you busy and in and out of dungeons.

A tank or healer getting instant pops will v level faster than a DPS. A DPS that does quests and bonus objectives (like in WoD) between que pops will level faster than a DPS who only sits in que.

Go tank spec and tank dungeons. You’ll get about a level and a 1/3 every dungeon and there’s hardly any wait times
