How do you get the whtie and blue heritage armor for nelf

ik u have to kill fryakk but wheres the quest?

Looks like you have to complete the final chapter of the 10.2 campaign - “New Beginnings” - that takes place after defeating Fyrakk in the raid.

So either Dec 12 for LFR Fyrakk when it’s released or get into a Fyrakk kill on nelf for normal or higher.

if I were to do it on my main that isn’t alliance nor is a night elf, can I still pick up New Beginnings? Or do I have to do it on that character?

Not sure. I haven’t touched any of the 10.2 content yet myself. Comments seem to suggest either anyone can do the quest, but you have to be a Night Elf to get the armor set… or it’s a Night Elf only quest. I’m not really sure.

Not going to lie, it kind of really irritates me that other races got multiple colors of their heritage armor just by doing the base quest to unlock it… yet here night elves are seriously locked out of getting a recolor of theirs and having to put extra work in.

yeah, it’s sort of annoying, I don’t mind doing it but I don’t feel like doing the campaign for a second time for a recolor. Killing fryakk no problem, but doing a storyline that is worth somewhere around maybe 2 hours long is not worth it for me.

That’s where I’m at. I chose to do Dragonflight on my human mage only to find out that something designed specifically for my night elf is not unlockable just because I did not level and quest on her. And that’s not even taking into account the fact that I’m mostly a solo player… most I do is LFR and M+. So not only am I “forced” to level and do Dragonflight on this character, I would also have to wait until LFR unlocks for Fryakk. Don’t see how anyone at Blizzard thought this was okay. Like yeah, it’s not the end of the world… just really inconvenient and thoughtless.

I don’t get why this can’t just be a separate quest from the Emerald Dream story campaign. It should just be in the raid room instead of doing cartwheels and bending over backward for just a recolor. None of the other races had to.

This is so dumb. Locking a recolor of a heritage armor set behind the last boss is so cheap. And why is there a one week gap between the 3rd LFR wing and 4th one, aka the one with fyrakk? Why does nelf get screwed over when other races get their heritage armor recolors from just doing the unlock quest? This doesn’t benefit anyone and only screws over people, and what happens if someone race changes to nelf after completing that quest? Are they just screwed out of the recolor till they do that specific questline on a nelf char?

That’s pretty much their purpose in WoW now it seems. They got driven from their homeland and blizzard consider that a win. They even had Tyrande being happy about it even though she nearly broke up the alliance in her determination to take back darkshore! I guess she got over that…

And also you apparently have to do this separately for each individual nelf alt you have. Why???

Really? I thought I could mog to it on all my nelves. I’ll have to check when I get home.

Dunno if you got to check yet but i just did n was able to do it on a baby level 60 night elf, so maybe if that was the case before it seems to have gotten fixed.

Not true, this toon is level 30 in the blue armor…

Not true. To get the armor you have to complete the quest chain on a NE character and then it is unlocked

OK, you’re right. It’s named something different and I couldn’t find it. It also does not show up as a set (for me anyway) and I had to find the pieces under their various names, but it is there. Sorry for the confusion.

That’s stupid, my main is close to being done with the campaign I’d rather finish the story on my main then pick up the quest on my nelf.

so, just to clarify… I do, in fact, have to kill Fyrakk to get the quest to unlock the recolor still?

The requirement to do the raid to complete the campaign was dropped.

(it has been the pattern in Dragonflight that the raid requirements for campaigns are dropped at the same time that LFR opens for the final boss).
