How do you get the Ursol's Vortex + Typhoon pseudo-Mass Grip combo work?

I do it in a cluster of enemies and it tends to just scatter the enemies even more while only gripping a few.

8yd radius is not a lot to work with.

Obviously, you have to have them somewhat grouped up, or at least knocked back THROUGH the vortex.

It’s just like flushing the toilet. You have to get everything inside of the bowl or else you are just going to make a mess.
