I kinda want to make an undead hunter, but there’s like no npc forsaken hunters and it’s especially jarring at the hunter order hall with all the sky eagle stuff and no undead in sight other than that 1 dark ranger.
So…I kind of want to giggle a little at this, and I’m sorry for doing so. But Sylvanas was a ranger general in Quel’Thalas before she became the banshee queen. And Nathanos, one of her generals, studied under her and is human.
That said, …I imagine there are a lot of Lordaeranian (and other human races now,) hunters who have decided to ply their trade for furs, or meat and food for the other races of the Horde (since I guess, technically, you don’t need to eat now, but you still can if you want?)
So while the Legion hunter hall may not have a lot of inspiration for undead hunters, there are plenty of motivations out there. Perhaps, for instance, being undead makes you feel more empathy toward creatures (especially the undead ones.) Or perhaps you like the idea of hunting down those who have done you wrong–more a bounty hunter type thing.
And if you want to get an idea of what the ranger core is like in the forsaken areas, maybe read up a bit on Nathanos and Sylvanas and the high elven rangers.

Hunters aren’t just about the nature vibes. They fill the archer fantasy. Ranged fighters who can handle a bow or gun are useful in every military. Pet or no pet. There’s skeleton archers in the BfA cinematic for example, raining down arrows below.
Undeath is just a state of being, there’s lot of ways to RP it. You can still be a decent person who values nature and living things, or you can just be a maniac shooting stuff with flaming arrows because you’re bored. And everything in between!
But even to undead every skill is still helpful. Knowing how to track enemies and prey, foraging and survival skills, training animal companions to eat all who dare oppose you. Useful!
