Age of the account does not matter. I’ve been playing since vanilla WOW. Not a single beta invite except the annual pass from MOP. But a friend of mine who started playing this expansion, is playing the beta right now because he got a 2 days banned.
Am I doing something wrong? Did I do something wrong that prevented me from getting an invitation? I’m just utterly confused. Been gladiator multiple times, killed mythic bosses every week. How do you get into the beta???
Win the beta lotto, or be an influencer, be in one of the top CE (Cutting Edge) Guilds or are friends with a Blizzard employee.
To enter you just need to sign up.
Start a stream on twitch.
Random chance. Nothing more.
Be a CE player or a F&F.
Otherwise it’s a crapshoot and stop crying.
log into your account settings and opt-in for beta.
i got emailed a beta invite yesterday, first email in four years from Blizzard that wasn’t confirmation of payment or notification of breaking forum code of conduct
I have a tinfoil hat theory that it’s based on a list kinda like this.
My husband has been in nearly every beta and has spent tons on this game and always has a CE. My beta access has been more sporadic but i usually don’t mtx often, and only somtimes get the CE.
I’ve been in Pandaland, WoD, and Legion i think. He’s just been in all of them.

I didn’t realized having collectors edition increases your chances of getting beta. Where can I find that info / source?
It’s a tinfoil hat theory. I didn’t get the bfa CE and i didn’t get the bfa beta. He did both however.
Yeah I can confirm that theory is incorrect since I’ve never bought CE or anything from the store.
I just suspect it increases your odds tbh, but it is very tinfoil hat. Also $ total spent is not just the store. It’s how long you’ve subbed and the expansions you bought too.
Yeah IDK man I’ve played this game since classic. The only time I got into the beta was during Mist of Pandaria for the annual pass. That’s tons of money to this day. Not to mention the transfer and faction changes.

When I referred to CE, it means Cutting Edge. Should have clarified that, sorry.

I assume you are talking about PvP and Arena? I guess if they was testing something new with PvP BGS, and Arenas, they would invite those type of players.
yeah, you’re expecting something that’s usually randomly decided, or you provide no promise of marketing the game to a crowd of many people.
there’s no real reason to break that behavior either, because I really really doubt you wanna be there to report bugs

Depends on what they need for testing
The first beta wave was for raid testing. So they sent out beta invites to anyone that has 12/12 mythic for the current tier. Albeit not all raiders are sent invites but majority of them.
This week is basically to test the leveling part of the game. That’s why they took out the max level create options and the npcs that gives you x number resources.
Also thats why they opened up the beta to a lot more people probably even the ones without 12/12 mythic.
