I’ve played this game for awhile now, and I have always wanted to play the hardest content and try to be better. Over the years I have been fully keybinded and mastered rotations, but I can never really do things like get higher keys/improve my io since I have always had to get lucky enough to join a pug. Pugging has almost always been the only way for me to raid and its really ruined the experience. So how do people get into these guilds and how do you go on from there?
First off. Good mythic guilds dont care at all about your i.o score lol so forget about that.
Im a 3x CE player so i have some XP in this.
To get into a high end mythic guild, or at least a guild that has potential to clear more than half the raid in mythic, you’ll need really good parses. 95%+ on almost all fights in heroic or at least 95%+ ilvl parses.
If your parses are sub-par dont even bother applying they wont consider you.
So work on getting your parses up. If that means pugging the same fights multiple times a week just to get a better parse than do it!
If you dont know what parses are and have no idea what im talking about. Go go warcraftlogs .com or watch a youtube video about it. Preach has a good video about logging and how to get into a mythic guild.
Once your parses are 90%+, make a forum post on your servers guild recruitment page. Label it as your class and that youre looking for a mythic guild. Put in a nice amount of info about your experience with a link to your logs and your btag and guilds will come.
Also you can check your servers guild page and look for guilds posting about recruiting, contact them ect.
You will not get into a Cutting edge guild immediately. You have no mythic experience therefor you need to work your way up. So dont be too pickey with joining a guild that has low progress. Play with them for a bit get use to mythic, get some better gear then when you want something better, contact a better guild and try to get a trial.
You have to really want it if you want to get into high mythic raiding, it can be scary starting out, but its very doable!
