I’m getting into tanking on my Druid and I’m not really sure how to gauge my dps.
When I’m on my warlock I know about where I should be, or where I am in comparison to the other dps in group, but on my tank I don’t really know what is considered “good” dps.
I can’t compare to the dps players because obviously they do way more unless they’re bad, the healer is the healer, so how do I gauge my dps as a tank?
Also, I know damage isn’t my main role as the tank, I would just like to know how I’m doing in damage sometimes.
Compare your dps to the dps anyway
Pull more so you can either do more than them or cause them to die and have their dps drop below yours
Compare against other tanks that tank for your dps

You could log it and compare to logs of similar tanks and similar content.

Sim it or aim for >50% of an actual dps, idk.
Not always.
Make a new Details window for your DPS.

Depending on the encounter type, it could be 3x as much or like 10%.
Here’s how I’d gauge it, if the DPS are pulling agrro, you’re not doing enough.
Otherwise you’re doing just fine.
If you really want to parse your DPS, use a third party like Warcraft logs and put in the homework to know your benchmarks.
In general, yeah. Those pesky dev evokers though…
Since tanks are generally mechanically simpler in terms of rotation, and target count / pulls is typically a major factor, one of the best things to do is compare your ratio of spell casts to someone else who’s performing exceptionally well.
Spell casts should remain consistent regardless of target count generally.
