Hey everyone. I wasn’t sure if there was a way to track down old friends i used to play with before we all just kind of fell apart. I cant remember their full toon names or our guild name, I just know we played on Elune-Alliance together, and I wanted to see if any of them still played. Any help would be appreciated!
Good question I was wanting to find my old guildmates from TBC but our old guild is gone. Only thing I can think of is search people you remember by name but it’s likely they’ve changed their names or even changed servers. Maybe there is some other way though. I’d like to know if there is.
Check out the Realms section of these forums, lots of reunion threads on there (for my realm at least).
There were those old guild sites people used…that are defunct now, but might be located on “wayback machine.”
there are some websites that let you trace guilds toons have been in, i think they even carry over name changes but Im not 100%. However many of these put you in icky circumstances where you feel more like you’re stalking people than trying to find old friends.
There are threads on the forums to help reconnect with people you used to play with.
Id say, put your old name out there and see who bites back.

wowprogress has some good data from past tiers. I think they go all the way back to Wrath. If you raided with them, you could start there. Look for the realm, faction and last tier you played together. Then scroll through till you find the guild names that trigger your memory. It’s as good a place as any to start.
The other way… is to go into SW/ORG on the server and Trade chat talk to people who have been in the server forever and see if they remember a guild name or such.
Thanks everyone. This was from my BC days. So, i might be SoL finding them * I’m not 100% sure if they even play anymore, are alive anymore, ect.
I know the idea surrounding it was to connect with people who played between 2004-2006 but the forums have a section dedicated to this and a lot of people that post played later in BC too. Forums>under WoW Classic>classic connections.

Maybe you will find some of your old Pals there. Keep in mind it will only list your realm there if it existed back in the day.

If you guys figure it out, let me know. I have been looking for old friends from a guild called Knights of the Kirin Tor, on Kirin Tor from back in 2005 with absolutely no luck.
I know exactly where all my old guildmate friends are…they are dead.

Ya I didn’t mean to spam the post. I was trying to delete and rewrite it, but kept saying post deleted by author and that I couldn’t not delete . I have tried and you see the results(spam). I wasn’t sure if my original reply went to the right person because it did not show up just under their name. Again you see the results (spam).So to make a long story short, I totally messed it up. I don’t post often so replying, deleting, starting new post etc is still new to me. I know it’s not rocket science oof. So my apologies for the spamming, as I never intended to do that. Sorry
