How do you feel about warrior?

i find it hard to play

Super fun to play when you’re decked out in gear, until that point pretty miserable. I also don’t personally enjoy melee classes as much as casters, though.

Very fun if you have gear

If you don’t, wait until Cataclysm

I’m leveling one right now as I speak,
Gunna be my new main.

Fury mainspec prot of spec.
Hopefully get into a raiding guild (that’s going to be the hardest part I think. Lol

Fury stigma is real and it’s an uphill battle and those who have made it to greatness are garbage human beings usually lol

I’ve never seen another fury warrior help another warrior

It’s my favorite tanking toolkit, and the class I use the most macros on. I decided to go DK/Druid for Wrath, but if I added another toon to the roster, I’d add a warrior.

you mean boring AF… yeah.

It’s easy to be mediocre at but pretty difficult to be stellar at. No other class (besides bear druid’s maul) has a mechanic like heroic strike. If you don’t use it correctly you won’t be good at the class. Plus it has the major downside in wotlk that it’s just now finally starting to get good.

I should have just played rogue. Press button, do damage. Ez

I much prefer later iterations of fury

I find it fairly boring in wotlk tbh

In vanilla it is strong. In tbc I think if they released a tbc era I would use a enhance shaman to funnel money to get glaives. But I think in vanilla they had damage utility. In tbc they had some damage and bleed as a unique debuff. In wrath it is annoying until you hit a crit level to keep the rage flowing, and leveling is kind of bad.

It’s hella fun. What is so great about warriors in cata?

Significantly less gear-dependent to function

Is cata when rage generation was normalized?

Cata is when warriors become gods again.

-Heroic Strike was changed from on next swing to be an instant rage dump

-Shouts become a rage generator

-Colossus Smash, back when it ignored all target armor, for massive burst windows

-Heroic Leap

-Fury gets Raging Blow

Arms warrior is still top of the food chain if you know how to flip stances.
Fury is no longer top damage but does well.
Protection, like any tank, is good in wrath.

Personally though I retired mine back in crusade, switching first to enhance shaman then again to death knight.

Sounds good!

Fury feels crappy because it is probably the most gear dependant class in the game right now.

It takes a long time, either you need charisma or money - not joking - to get geared and be a top damage fury.

I duped my guild into letting me be fury, only took 2 years of being a team player and community member - SUCKERS! /s

Fury is sleeper really good, even in single target. It looks worse than it is on WCL simply because most Warriors are stuck solo sundering which absolutely gimps your damage, and because WCL likes to completely exclude add damage from rankings. ToC is the first Wrath raid where add damage is included consistently and Fury has jumped from one of the lowest specs in the last week of Ulduar to upper middle of the pack in the first weeks of ToC from that alone.
