How do you feel about the 3% dmg nerf?

Are we cooked chat? Seems like we got off relatively easy although I’m not sure were we are so top tier we should be getting a flat nerf. Were we even #1 in raid?

I don’t understand the nerf. I haven’t seen anything that suggests spriest is OP. They’re relevant in PvE and PvP now but not over the top OP. That was the first time in years, maybe ever, that I’ve seen RWF guilds bringing shadow priests. It was really cool to see.

This nerf kinda feels like they don’t like seeing spriest relevant.

EDIT: I don’t know what 3% will look like and maybe it’s unnoticeable and they’re still desirable. I’m just saying I don’t think it was necessary - should’ve been 0% adjustment.

They gave us a 4% over all dps buff at the start of season 2. Now they are taking away 3%.
Two steps forward and one step back. We cannot win.

Nerfs always suck, but this one is probably warranted.
Shadow Priest really, really excels in this raid. A lot of the encounters lend themselves to Shadow’s strengths.

Also, Shadow is notorious for being one of the best stat-scaling specs ever. As the expansion goes on and we acquire more secondary stats from gear, Shadows power creep eventually outgrows their nerfs. Historically, Blizzard has always nerfed SPriest bit by bit following major content patches because it scales so well with increasing ilvls. This nerf is just par for the course.

M+ is a different beast. SPriest is mostly limited by Shadow Crash’s target cap and cooldown. The 3% nerf won’t be enough to significantly move it among any tier lists that have it.

Makes no sense because WW mage and lock are all higher in raid. Always picking on shadow.

This is the truth, blizzard does not like shadow priest being relevant in PVE at all. They seem ok with it being a great Arena pick but even then they definitely don’t want it to be a top tier.

The nerf is because SPriest’s were in RWF. That was unacceptable and they had to ensure that Spriest is not a viable high end raiding pick immediately after that happened. Spriests were also a top 10 dps for M+. Once you put those together its time for the guillotine, Blizz is not ok with shadow priest being relevant.

Spriest is #1 in One armed bandit… and in no other scenario. But we all know Blizz hates seeing them be the best at anything so they quickly brought the nerf bat.

Do you honestly think this?

1.38 million DPS → 1.34 million DPS is what a 3% nerf looks like.

I honestly don’t care about the 3% nerf, I just want Blizzard to give us our second charge of SC.

lol, Now that we have damage numbers and rankings… the actual impact was from 4th highest dps output to 4th lowest.

We have been downgraded from an A+ tier to a B overall and are now “not meta”.

That is the actual impact of a 3% nerf when other classes were not getting the same treatment, or in the case of the 3 dps specs already outperforming Shadow priest across the board they got the same overall nerf with targeted buffs.

So now shadow priest is the worst dps class in the game with no competitive dps spec available. We bring no required buff (battle rez or lust), we have the worst Interrupt in the game which to even be able to cast we have to sacrifice DPS. And to top it all off we lack necessary mobility and aoe power to have a real presence in the S2 meta.

After the numbers were crunched from the week of the nerf the answer is, Yes we are cooked; 4th highest dps overall to 4th lowest. Literally the worst DPS class in the game where Every single class has at least 1 dps spec that outperforms us by a notable margin.
