I didn’t transmog until I did, so I have no opinions. Actually, I don’t do it on a fresh 60 for a while since I’m constantly replacing the gear for a bit.
And in 5-10 mins, if you hadn’t transmogged, you’d have double what u made.
Luckily for me, most of my mog is hidden, which is free of charge.
Better than doing nothing and not earning it back!
That 200-1000 gold is meaningless when I look pretty!
I mean, sometimes the current sets look fantastic.
If I had it, I’d rock the full CN mythic plate set on my warrior. Not to show off, but because that set is amazing. Seriously considering farming it up later on down the road once that’s possible.
But I don’t really get the “I have to look at other people” response.
- If your transmog doesn’t super stand out, people probably don’t notice it.
- More than half the mogs are the same half dozen outfits for any given race/spec. People aren’t unique enough.
- Half the rest are ugly transmogs anyway, and would be improved by using the base set.
Sometimes when I see people with no mogs I wonder if they may be returning players who haven’t learned how to use it yet, or maybe if they just changed specs and it threw their mogs into chaos. Its a little unusual to see today, but some people just don’t have patience for it I spose.
And I’d never like, Say anything, but depending on how ‘bad’ the results are I’d probably think ‘Yikes’…
Imagine choosing to lose out on free 10% extra dps because you don’t mog smh
I used to hate transmog because I thought it was cheating. Now I do it myself.
I still think tabards should not be transmogable because I think it defeats the purpose. Hence I currently don’t have my own mogged.
I judge my friends if they look horrendous. It doesn’t bother me as long as it doesn’t make my eyes bleed.
Sometimes I’m trying to save my gold for more important things.
Are non transmoggers the new fashionistas?
Warhol in the bytes?
Transmogging does take over your life though. It may have started with wanting to hide my helm, but has gone on to a dedicated SI:7 fangirlism
There are two reasons to why I’d never play Classic.
- Hit rating.
- No transmog.
Distrust them for sure. I’d write them off as a numbers only d-bro.
But transmogging is soo fun. I love putting outfits together with the stuff I’ve collected. Plus really, what are you going to do with all the gold they give away in-game?
I used to use the add on Outfitter to change clothes whenever I landed in a city.
If you’re going to the city, might as well look good…
I like transmogging a lot, spend lots of gold on it.
People who don’t, I think, don’t care about what their toon looks like and it’s about what they are doing.
But, I just remember that pixar movie, mega-mind. It’s all about presentation and style. Heros in the game are a dime a dozen, but a unique looking/dressed hero, it one to be remembered.
I pick something I like and mostly stick with it for a long time.
But this guy…
How could anybody trust him if he looked like this today?
There is that hyper intelligent person in any company that gets away with looking scruffy because they are just so smart - like they are too busy solving hard problems to waste brain capacity on things like shampoo or laundry.
Some non-transmoggers are like that, they look a mess but they’ll pump 20% more dps than a regular player at the same ilevel.
Others just look a mess and don’t care, and honestly, that’s fine too.
I tried it like 2 weeks ago just out of curiosity. I transmogged my covenant gear to mostly felheart stuff minus the robe, and some old engineer goggles. I dunno. I thought it looked pretty cool and you don’t see many people walking around shadowlands with that stuff. Since then I’ve upgraded a few pieces of gear and even though it wouldn’t be considered matching colors, I have no desire at this time to transmog the stuff I have gotten since. Aesthetics just arent much of a part of my priorities… Maybe if there was some special event at the darkmoon faire or something and I wanted to be all hygenic for the ladies, or if i was bored enough I might do it again…
I also still use my felsteed even though I have like 5 or 6 other mounts that I’ve earned somehow… lol.
Maybe I still use my felsteed because I had to do some long warlock questline back in the day to get it.
i dont care much. if i have cool transmog i’ll change it but meh
I think they look terrible.
I have a teenager whose fashion sense can best be described as “random stuff that kinda fits”. How strangers dress their cartoons is not even on my radar.
