How do you feel about Gilneas as a hub city?

I feel like this should’ve been done ages ago, but I am happy to see that the devs are making a return to it for a change. They nailed the atmosphere for that zone.

It’s one of the coolest cities in the game. It’s a crime that it was just collecting dust.

Probably should of been done sooner but if worgen get optional tails and more love for their worgen forms along with it I can’t complain

Every race should have a hub city with all the perks. I don’t give two cinnamon sticks , if there’s more ‘emptiness’ in cities as a result. Most are empty anyway.

I don’t see Gilneas having much more going on than the ruins of Lordaeron does after helping cleanse it. There’ll be some NPCs and a portal back and not much else.

Feels great. Hopefully there’s convenient travel options there so alliance finally has an easy path to the Greench. From what I’ve heard from the ptr there is a harbour/dock relatively close to the main part of the city. I have to assume that will be connected to both stormwind and bel’ameth.

I hope they give us some reasons to be in the zone and just enjoy the landscape. Even outside the city it’s just such a cool looking place.

How is Gilneas a hub city? Isn’t that usually the central location during an expansion, i.e. Dalaran, Oribos, Valdrakken…

It’s going to be completely dead except for a couple roleplayers every now and then.

Give the puppers a forever home.

Getting to Lordaeron is such a pain as Alliance. Horde has so many more options to get to Azeroth in comparison (Booty Bay, Stonard, Karazhan SL S4 Portal). I might start doing those holiday events that make you go to Silverpine or the Ruins of Lordaeron again.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve said it before, but I feel the same about Suramar City. They could make it a horde city and just put Zidormi somewhere in the zone for people that want to play through the Suramar storyline/do the WQs there.

I think by hub city, in this case OP is referring to a capital city with a bank, AH, profession trainers, etc.

Exactly, I’d never set foot in Orgrimar again if the other Horde cities were functional. That place is nasty; horribly stupid architecture… and it looks like it smells.

I want more cities that exist just for the hell of it. Makes the world feel fuller and more alive. The alliance now fully controls stromgarde. I want them to rebuild it properly in game.

Edited. I meant stromgarde, not stratholme!

Uncouth, uncivilized heathens! There’s nary a chair one in the whole place.
THAT’S why I don’t play Horde. But if you gimme a chair, I’ll think about it.

I’ve always felt it was like the Alliance’s bigger version of Brill. Great architecture with just enough spookiness for flavor.

there’s also no sewage system… they throw their stuff out the window…
/smh
/hold my nose

their best defense is not the spikes or the canyon, is the smell. It probably killed all the animals in Durotar.

Took them a while to get rid of and make sure the Parvo was all cleared up

This sets up the second expansion in the trilogy IMO. Without Gilneas the alliance has no city with which to approach the lightwell, right?

One might say it’s a dog-gone shame.

about the same way I feel about silvermoon.

when’s the last time you used the auction house in Silvermoon?
