How do you feel about aquatic Vulpera(Vulpin) as an allied race?

So here is a bit of a scenario. Lets assume Vulpera had been a playable race since cata and they had an aquatic subspecies called Vulpin. They are in a similar situation to Gilgoblins right now. We were just meeting goblins for the first time in this expansion in Voldun. Nothing has changed about the culture and style of either save for that goblins have model updates. There has been a lot of hype about goblins being the next Vulpera allied race. However…

A lot of evidence points to the higher likelyness of Vulpin becoming an AR. The question here is, in this scenario do you think you would want Goblins or Vulpin as an allied race more?

This is a very testing question. I am honestly somewhat unsure. A lot of us base our in game identities on the characters we play. Now just imagine that a certain one hadn’t existed from the beginning or was very different. It would mean a different path taken, that is for sure.

Probably goblins. I like short races that also are paired with super intelligence.

I would want vulpera since we already have goblins.

Read the details. In this situation. Vulpera have been released since cata and we are just meeting Goblins in BFA.

I feel like, if I understand your scenario correctly, that Goblins would be the better race to add because it increases diversity and there isn’t really anything like goblins currently in the game.

This is where I basically was trying to figure out something. Is Vulpera liked in general more than Goblins or is it mostly the prospect of new content that it represents?

Someone say Vulpera? Cranks up guns

More fur coats for the wearing!

Goblins are a niche race. They are cool and fun, a classic part of the setting. Lots of people wanted goblins. Their addition was very welcome. But being a short green being isn’t for everyone. They are behind nightborne in how many people play them at max level.

Vulpera are also niche. They are fun, cute and short bestial humanoids. Not everyone will like them, but they’ve proven popular.

Goblins are already playable. Vulpera aren’t. Right now, it makes more sense to add something new than another short green being variant. So people will ask for vulpera way more.

Yeah! In addition to the aquatic vulpera, there can also be a fire variant (flarepera), and a lightning variant (joltera)! And they start as basic vulpera, then graduate to their more advanced forms at, say, level 90.

So… Giblins?

I like the in game Goblins, one of my favorite former mains is a goblin. The female goblin Roar emote is the best. But I really want Vulpera too. If I had to absolutely choose one I think I’d go with Vulpera. But I don’t think we’ll see them as playable for a long while if ever. I do suspect Gilgoblin as one of the next Allied Races.

For some reason, I don’t feel my identity is threatened by Vulpera.

Of any of the possible races out there that could become ARs, Vulpera are at or very near the top of the list. It just makes too much sense.

I personally would love to see them paired up with Sethrak as rival ARs and for Blizzard to explore their shared, albeit acrimonious history for the reasoning why they eventually choose their sides.

I occurred to me. Basically any race that is very similar in nature to goblin or gnome will probably for the most part get a lot of dirt flung at it. Basically the thing is that a lot of people prefer a fresh race.

For horde sure, alliance don’t want furries
