How do you do it?

How do you go about the process of leveling alts without mad burnout? I have a few classes i’d like to level before 8.3 (mainly because they are allied races with heritage armor), but anytime I try… I get mad burnout after 20 levels or so. Leveling is just so bad…

Your talking about retail right?

This is a big problem i had once scaling became a thing. Without a sense of level progression i don’t enjoy it like i did before.

Azeroth Auto Pilot. Best mod in the world if you’re having issues leveling an alt. Just do exactly what it says and it goes by really quickly.

Play a few levels.
Punch Evil Space Aliens in the face in Destiny.
Play a few levels.
Conquer Planet Earth in HOI4.
Play a few levels.
Finally get a good Steward King in CK2, and start planning some serious economic bonuses and buildings to my Kingdom only for him to die of cancer at 19, and leave the throne to the club-footed, hunch-back, insane, demon-worshipping 2 year old illegitimate offspring of his half-brother.
Play a lot of levels after that.

Yes, talking about retail. I love classic leveling! It’s so engaging, but man… dude… retail is so brain dead… but I don’t want to boost my characters. I like to work on them, as to kind of build a love for em, ya know? I want to try a caster class (ive never touched one, except recently boomie) or a rogue or something

Try a mage then imho.

Lolz, that’s what I am saying… the leveling just feels so bad and my motivation goes out the window, so I go play dota or something else that is. . Again… engaging

It used to be a lot faster, if I didn’t level most of them in WoD, I’d have a lot less alts.

If you enjoy the journey i would just stick to classic. Retail is much more focused on end game content these days.

If all you want is the heritage armor then just que into dungeons. I don’t think its required to get the story done to unlock them any more and quest in between wait times to get gear and weapons , thou with todays event you practically guaranteed least one drop per run.

Well, see… I want to be able to experience Mc, Ony, BWL, AQ, and Naxx… but, I cannot feasibly work on two different progressions. Maybe I will just stick to my DK and druid, and keep with Classic… and just raid on here… idk

Dragstuslivz, nailed it for me. I hate leveling in retail, sooo boring. That may explain why people seem to dungeon level and quest leveling is done much less. Warmode ON doesn’t even do much, rarely see the other faction anyway.

Try Classic for a while. Then come back to retail where leveling is a breeze. So easy to level in retail.

multiple alts to switch to.

posting on a classic characer trolling about how “boring” retail leveling is.

try: questing, doing dungeons, gathering, doing archaelogy, doing random bgs, doing skirmishes, islands when you reach the range. there’s a ton more ways to level in retail than there are in classic. only need to be level 10 to do a bg. level 15 to do a dungeon. which your allied races will be able to as soon as you make them.

God you make leveling sound like drinking whiskey…

…and it kind of is…

Can we mix the whiskey, cuz then I would be on board with that…

I don’t level alts for the same reason, plus I tend to just play one class for a long time.

It’s just all in committing and really setting a goal for yourself as to WHY you want to play that toon/class in end game. I think the worse part of leveling is the end game levels, I don’t mind vanilla - wrath stuff. Pandaria is meh, wod is super meh…legion is a total drag…bfa is also kinda meh.

At least that’s my opinion.
