How do you do it leveling new characters?

OMG you helped with that. THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH!!! You saved my life hahaha. Seriously though I have to thank you again for this addon. It worked like a charm. There was one part in Draenor where I could not go any further because an item was locked behind a quest chain so I just skipped that part until 98 or so.

Seriously thanks again. Will definitely be using it for the rest of my alts. Well Done!!

Hey have you ever seen that horror movie, where I think it’s Fred Savage in a wheelchair. He has a sister I think and he shoots this preacher who is a werewolf?

The time it takes to gain levels doesn’t bother me. The lack of talents as I do so is what sucks.

Not having awesome transmog till higher levels sucks, too. But the lackluster, craptastically boring talent system is what kills it for me.

Sad, but true.

Silver Bullet?

It’s sans Fred Savage, but everything else checks out

Solid movie.

that wasn’t him. I could have sworn that was him. Oh no wait
Corey Haim. Okay I see now thank you, I’ll have to go find that movie now and watch it again. Love 80s Horror movies.

What about the “Lost Boys”

I try. I want to open up heritage armor, but the thought of doing 90 levels just to unlock an armor set is mind numbing to me. I have 3 120’s. This character, a DH and a Paladin. Ive also got a 111 lock. 110-120 is ok, but I just cant do the full grind again. Ive tried. Ill stare at the character select screen for a minute and then pick one of my other characters. Doesnt help that they are mostly maxed out on gear and things to do.

The Lost Boys was great.

Be ready to hear the name “Michael” over and over again.

Absolutely brilliant film.

I have one word for you OP. Timewalking. You won’t even feel its a chore to go from 115 to 120 if you pick the expansions you like. I for example, always try to put some levels on my 110 alts at Pandaria TW, because I really love those DGs. I leveled 18 120 so far, and I have ten more in the 111-120 bracket to go.

As for starting new ones, I dunno how people do it. They say it is fast now, but I can’t just feel it. To me, it is a very slow process since they nerfed loons and raf. I also miss the 300% potion, I used to stack a lot in christmas and powerlevel with friends at DG’s, now it is worthless.

You can buy those XP potions for 100 resources at your garrison and do only the bonus quests to skip most of Draenor and go to Legion when you hit 98.

Seems like this game may not be for you if you can’t even handle leveling the new content.

Been some talk about ways to fix leveling, one is the level squish. Make like level 60 or so the max again. I’m sure the stat squish with be gone after that, and leveling to max may speed up a bit. You will see spells and talents come at a more regular basis too.

Even if all that happens, the old world could use a small touch of new. World quests and some of the other new features spread to all zones could make it feel better.

Allowing all levels to join in on these new activities in old zones that everyone can benefit from would help make the world feel more alive.

Haha, I’m working on Loremaster too, had a few partials zones in both Northrend AND Outland, ugh! Submitted a ticket last night for a quest because the dude who should start a battle is stuck under the monster we are supposed to fight, but it won’t work, so if I don’t complete it then no Loremaster. Boy do I regret not completing zones as I leveled.

How is it his fault that he doesnt want to lvl not like bliz has made an effort to help with leveling. He either has to suck it up, pay 60 for a boost or just not level.

Leveling a Kul’tiran hunter now.
I always have some anime on my second monitor while I go pew pew pew. Herlooms + potion + warmode. kinda makes leveling somewhat a joke but tedious.

I use heirlooms up to I think level 90 (I’m too cheap to upgrade everything).

Mix up how you level. Do some pet battles. Do some quests. Do some BGs. Do some dungeons. I know dungeons don’t give you as much XP as before, but I find them enjoyable.

Also, I heal or tank through dungeons for a lot of my characters. I find it fun.

Put on some music.

Take advantage of rested XP and the DMF XP buff from the carousel. Also, don’t try to do all of the leveling at once.

I just find it fun to be honest. In fact I’ve gotten so bored of the current BFA endgame that I’ve been leveling alts again to make more progress on my Loremaster achieves that I was working on last year. Been having fun!

Yea this is important but not something I did intentionally. I just find a lot of characters and races interesting so have an army of alts at varying levels. I definitely don’t focus on one and get it all the way to 120. I jump back and forth as I get the urge to play different ones. I do have several 120s, though so if I feel like there’s another alt I want maxed I’ll focus on that for a bit, but once you have enough near or at max, by the time another expansion comes out, it’s pretty easy to get those back to the new max anyway.

Now that twinks are gone, I level through battlegrounds. Never gets boring.
