How do you DH mains cope?

With having so few abilities. How do you deal with playing this incredibly boring class?

I wish DH would get a rework. They are so horrible and awkward it’s almost like they are made to be used in those old school fighting game arcade machines. The ones with the big red buttons, you know?

I’ve been watching, and waiting for this class to have some modicum of complexity added, but it seems like it’s job is to be the spec that requires the least work while also looking good doing it.

Anyway, does anyone here actually main this meme class?

i still main it, im sure you see me in stormwind on the daily fellow EDer! Blizzard is testing our resolve and commitment to the class. Definitely support the rework comment. Way I deal with it is by moving around alot as a pvper lol, thankfully I dont have to deal with PvE…can only imagine the horror.

I see you in Durotar on a daily basis I believe. Here’s to a DH rework.

I still main mine too, i support the rework, and i do believe it will get a rework eventually. We just need to hang in there.

No, no one in the demon hunter forums mains a demon hunter

What some people see as too few buttons, i see as just right, i dont want to deal with 20 keybinds, my hands cant take it, i do wish more people would realize that having both offense and defense on the same skill means that if we use it for defense, we lose it for offense and vice versa, so there is some impact to the timing.

Did i expect a nerf to leech with SL, yes, but it should have been a small one, they seemed to forget SL was supposed to be the UN-pruning expansion, and instead of giving us back bloodlet or Fury of the Illidari, they just took stuff away, while other classes got back impactful skills, for example ignore pain on the warriors.

In short, while you may not like the design of DH where you have 5 buttons in regular use (despite DH being similar to other classes there, that meme of no buttons continues…grrr), there are those of us that like it  . That being said, i am working on a frost DK as backup in case the survivability is just too bad with the over-nerfing in SL.

Vengeance is kinda fun. They have close to 15 moves I think.

Fun tanking too

it really gets old these plebs coming here to insult us thinking that we have 2 buttons to push. In pvp i am (was) constantly pushing around 17 buttons in an extremely fast pace needing to have extremely fast reactions. And that WAS the fun of the spec (was, cause now it’s dead of course): Extremely good mobility, good defensives, the ability to control multiple targets and deal quick and strong dmg. Havoc relied on its utility and mobility rather than the dmg, that was what made it fun at last for me. The stupid dmg rotation had to be simple and short so you could use your mobility and control freely. Had the dmg rotation been convoluted it would have gotten in the way of our true and fun strengths… but now its all over, thanks to you, plebs.

This is all incorrect and makes me think you haven’t played any other class but DH in your life.

hahah… so clueless. But its ok    See? you dont even know how to play a DH havoc you simp.

And just so that you know, i have a rogue, ww monk, fire mage, spriest and fury warrior all around 130ilvl …as i said, clueless as hell.

They’re just a bunch of trolls with the emotional maturity of an 8-year-old. They have no clue that our class is actually not any simpler to play than their own classes, but hey, doesn’t mean they’re not allowed to voice their idiotic and uninformed opinions.

Yes, yes it is.
This isn’t even an argument to be had. The havoc dh design is so barebones it is simpler than virtually every other spec. Other specs all have one or more of the below:

  1. baseline synergy
  2. baseline proc mechanic
  3. baseline buff/debuff management
  4. secondary resource management

We have none of the above.

Denying this is just willful ignorance. Hard to fix a problem if you refuse to acknowledge it exists.

I’m not following how other people are trolls by your standards, but someone who types like this

is a reasonable person with whom you can agree. Big yikes

I main this Class and there is nothing simple about this class…and as of yesterday I found an all new love for my DH and It will defientely be my main in shadowlands

I would never play your dumb version of a DH havoc dude… i have all my other toons for when i want that playstyle.

You are like a jet fighter who complains about how simple and dumb motorcycles are. Jet fighters have innumerable buttons, intricacies and other stuff they need to take care of if they want fly, be great and not die. Motorcycles have a throttle, breaks, a clutch and a gearbox, that’s it. But that doesn’t mean that being a good motorcycle racer is easy, in fact it is extremely difficult and dangerous.

You want to make DH havoc as intricate as another mainstream spec, i for once liked it for what it was, i liked how straightforward it was and how hard it was to be good at controlling the game or different players while dealing quick short bursts of dmg using its amazing mobility and speed.

Thank god they don’t have you as a dev though, cause i would absolutely despise your version of havoc. It would be even more dead than it is now for me.

Honestly because mana burn, the mobility, nice cleave, reverse magic, the new MS is super wet, single target and ape stun, and a ranged kick oooooof. That’s all PVP though, pve wise a rework is needed.

No, I’m like a wow player who complains about a spec being poorly-designed.

This is a ridiculous analogy. You’re sitting at a computer.

I have multiple versions of what I’d like the class to be. I created a few threads that were first drafts, and eventually decided it wasn’t worth the time to keep the threads going or to create more fan fiction. Ultimately, however, what’s important is for us to have a semblance of a baseline, which we do not have at this time.

We are a poorly-designed class.

My man, creating some synergy between skills and maybe separating our single target and aoe rotations is HARDLY turning dh from motorcycle to jet fighter.

7/10 troll post. Try harder.

My man it’s an analogy. What i am trying to say is, how about we dont turn havoc into another spec with a synergized rotation like every other spec? Maybe give havoc a couple interesting abilities for more mobility, speed and control? Like lets make it different and not the same crap over and over again?

The problem is that there is people who like the DH fantasy but they dont like its playstyle, so they want to turn it into another rogue or something so they can play button chess, which is stupid as hell imo.

We need variety in the game. And Havoc was very different, that’s what caught my attention in the first place.

You have literally everything you need in the dh toolkit for mobility and control. The dh utility kit is super fire which is why I play it.

I don’t think you understand what we’re saying here. Every other class has synergy between skills, distinguishing St and aoe doesn’t turn the class into keyboard chess.
