Hey! Actually asking a serious question here to players who are more qualified than me (not complaining I swear! xD). Currently pushing around 1900 in 3s and still around 2100 in SSs and man as a WW I cannot figure out how to deal with Warlocks, namely of the Destro variety.
It feels like I deal zero damage to them throughout the game and when I do get pressure they teleport/use gate. I’ve been placing my port on top of theirs but often times I can’t take it as it would lead to bad positioning on my part. Also, when playing against destro I’m constantly choosing between kicking fear and letting them free cast bolts, or wait for bolts and instead I get feared into a bolt. Aff locks just do damage passively, however I usually try to kick UA/Soul rot (this isn’t counting getting outplayed into a precog).
It feels to me unless they are just a perma 1600 player the game feels hopeless so I’m looking for any advice, or general strategies players at high levels tend to employ against warlocks. Any advice outside of “git gud” is very much appreciated!
Kick malefic rapture vs affy since it locks them out of everything. Destro is a cheese spec with multiple schools of magic so try to kick chaos bolt if you can as that will lock them out of all their abilities too. Hope this helps

Yesterday I learned difuse procs backlash from UA. So I guess you have to difuse in between UAs vs aff.
Mugambala is going to be really hard, but generally speaking, just don’t chase when they port/gate until they come back out in los again. I see sooo many melee put blinders on and just tunnel vision the lock, but if everyone gets jumbled up on a single pillar, you’re basically just guaranteeing that your healer will get cc’d having to chase you with the lock behind the pillar (idk if you do this, but it’s a common mistake)
On mugambala against locks I’ll try to set up on the opposite side of the stairs so they’re basically taking themselves out of the game if they port/gate up top, as again, the game gets 10x harder against locks if everyone is up top.
This, Cleansing flame from DH, and a other choice talents always give me a chuckle when they use them haha
if ur playing a healer just dispel vs aff lock it obviously doesn’t hurt hpaly’s or priests lol
Yea took me a couple of deaths to realize. I always knew difuse was a magic wall not that it “tried to reverse the effects”. Same with vampiric touch.
Kind of weird as such a big magic wall is used when taking high damage/when you are fully dotted not to to prevent then from dotting you.
Gotcha, yeah like I mentioned I try to avoid using my portal unless we just have tons of pressure. Like I mentioned it just feels hard to get said pressure.
You can in SOME cases… But I have many times seen healers practically (and literally) yeet themselves dispelling UA haha.

The only walls that dispel UA without backlash, far as I know, are Ice Block, and Divine Shield.
You take reduced dmg it is still correct to diffuse even if ua is on you
Pretty much this, most healers spam dispel ua each game its tilting
Great mog options, cool class.
The heirarchy of cool goes like such:
- Warlock/Unholy DK
- Shadow Priest
- Shaman
- Disc Priest
- BM Hunter
- Frost Mage (back when they still had a constant pet)
- Resto Druid before losing tree form
- Guardian/Boomkin with fancy forms
Nothing else is cool.

I’m kind of confused. I feel like I can’t lose on my WW against destro locks. You have so many toxic abilities against them. WDP, leg sweep, rop them off their port/gate, para, celestial right when they are about to fear, kick… the only time they get to do damage is when they coil fear me which is what I save my trinket for.
I adjust my port a lot but generally I use it to line bolts instead of sit on their port.
Priests and Druids are the 2 uncoolest classes in the game
Do I want to turn into a level 6 Dun Morogh bear or a level 3 Darnassus panther? Maybe a morbidly obese bipedal owl thing? I know let me pray to a moon for some star powers.
And it’s the 21st century, only people that think Priests are cool are alter boys

Must Hunter pets look cooler
Void is the only cool thing left in the game. Everything else has been explained away or turned into a farmable raid tier. If you’re not a Xalatoes priest then you’re by definition not part of the cool club.
Yeah I can admit SP is the only cool priest spec
The light and the naaru are lame and uncool, so the other 2 lose. Hpals are boarderline uncool but the fact that they wear plate and have shields and swords raise their coolness, but they remain the uncoolest of the paladin specs
