How do you check what layer you're on?

The first thing I find when I google “wow shadowlands how to check what layer you’re on” is how to check your layer in TBC classic. lol

Why is it so hard in this game to hop layers to kill the guy ganking your alt? Layers are the worst thing to ever happen to WoW.

Edit: LOL. Just found out there are no layers in Shadowlands. nvm

SL has shards, not layers.
The main difference is that shards are only 1 zone, instead of entire contents.

No we have sharding, not layers.

Not reliably, no. You’re just put where the game wants you.

I think to get to whatever shard has the guy you’re trying to kill, you need to ask someone on that shard to invite you to a group. It’s stupid, you can’t hunt down whoever ganked your alt without getting a third party involved sometimes
