Leveling a rogue on a new server… I just can’t get any momentum going… he should be 50 by now easy… yet he’s only 25…
Going to pandaland helped a bit… but the leveling train derails like an Amtrak with Ray Charles conducting

Truthfully, I just make alts of classes I only like, so I can kind of ignore the slog. I get how you feel though, trying other classes feels like a pain.
I have a small army of druids sitting at lvl 50
I have 7 60s right now.
help
i find fresh alts to be quite motivating with the new leveling options.
make sure you’re taking advantage of the DMF xp buff too, while it’s up.
I spam dungeons.
Most of my alts are level 50 ish but I feel you, I am wanting to make a Nightborne Elf for their heritage achievement and cannot find the inspiration.
It’s a snowball effect though. Just keep at it. Try to think of a place to level you haven’t been to in a while or a place you miss. You’ll forget you’re leveling a toon and will just enjoy the ride. I hope. That’s what works for me.
I’ve unlocked all AR to make alts. So far I created 0 alts…
Leveling? I freaking cannot stand leveling characters. There are people that enjoy it. I’d guess they do because they enjoy the process of the ride to max it provides and don’t worry about getting to the end. If you are focusing on the only getting to the end… Yeah it’s going to stink getting there.
I have leveled a few character in the past and did enjoy it, because I left the feeling of getting of the end in a hurry at the door. I just cannot do that any more.
Rogue leveling is horrid. Your suffering will not end until lvl 45 at least.
All my alts are on the same linked realms. I can supply alts with heirlooms, crafted gear and gold. In turn, the alts are all gatherers and supply the crafters with mats.
I remember wanting to play so many different characters back in cata. It was way too time consuming back then to level to cap so I just stuck with a main. Now that leveling is pretty easy and a lot more fun I can live that dream of playing multiple characters. That’s just the kind of player I am. I never stick to one play style and adapt really easily.
So let’s talk about the hard part. The systems. After my second alt I really said fudge doing world quests, covenant bs, and all the other grinds. Luckily for me I am into PvP and the catch up mechanic for renown works well there. Gearing is simple yet sort of a grind. It’s a good thing most of the classes are fun to try and master.
I have hit a personal cap though. The burnout from leveling hit hard and I have a few more characters sitting at 48. I cannot bring myself to level through shadowlands anymore. It is the worst part of leveling. It’s so boring and there are things about it that just turn me off. I will say that the chromie leveling idea is the best thing to happen to leveling. It has some of my old friends wanting to play again just at the thought of time walking.
I love alts.
Battlegrounds are more fun at level 51-59 than as a fresh 60 anyway
Tell me about it. I preemptively got all my alts (16 of them) through the Maw intro and then I made the mistake of selecting Threads of Fate for ALLLL of them. It wasn’t until I leveled my second alt to 60 that I realized I would have preferred to just drudge through the on-the-rails campaign for many of my alts.
You live and you learn I guess.
I used to be able to level all day everyday, and really I still can but level 40-50 sucks and I wants no part of them so I don’t do low level leveling anymore, rip heirloom xp get bent scaling and level squish.
Lololol I did this too! Now they are stuck at 50 because I hate ToF and there’s no way you’re getting me to do that again. Now the plan is save money until Blizz unlocks 60 boost gg
This is me, too, for the most part. I have a server for my Alliance guild, and a server for my Horde guild. The only exception is the 4 characters that I have on Madoran, for the 4 Warcraft Pets guilds, and so I can have one of each Armor Class so I can still unlock any unlearned transmogs I might stumble upon.
I really wish there was a way to change your mind on this choice like there is for swapping covenants while you’re leveling. I guess this is what they meant when they said “meaningful choices”!
Azeroth Auto Pilot. 50 in 12 hours, 60 the following day. Now I am Renown locked on my chapters.
REMOVE RENOWN LOCKING FOR COVENANT STORY LINE!!!
I went and got it for my 11th alt, and as soon as I used Chromie time it went away.
