Do we nerf their damage and let them keep their CC or do we nerf their CC and let them keep the damage?
Nerf mage CC and burst, maybe buff it’s damage, add substance back to the class in other forms than those. Idk what’s wrong with rogue, in 2s it feels fine in 3s it just feels like too much. Rogue CC hasn’t changed much over the past few expansions, it’s always been pretty crazy. Kidney shot is lower CD now than it used to be though I think, and should probably be made a longer CD. I honestly think mage is the problem in Rogue/Mage though, by far.
You don’t neccisarily have to buff a class to make up for it’s other nerfs, just nerf mage. It needs it badly. It’ll still do fine without any buffs elsewhere. But right now it seems like just the cheesiest low skill cap class that’s kinda a satire of it’s oldself. No class should have a mechanic where if you don’t kick a spammable spell that they just do infinite, unhealable damage and kill anyone. Remove temporal shield also honestly. The class kites melees for like 5 minutes and then when melee connect mage is like “Hah! I’m invincible again! You foolosih mortal non-mage/rogue!” It honestly just feels so bad to play against this and lesser skilled players hit into it and don’t know why their opponent just got lay on handsed out of nowhere when the mage goes back to full HP for free. Just give them bonus armor or something and nerf their slows.

rogue mage damage needs to be put into their burst, rather than having high sustained. having rmd literally rot people feels awful. mages also should be less tanky, and assassin shouldnt be good
Mage has that with combustion. It’s nutso even with Rogues high sustain. TB needs a looking at too.
buff mm and the problem will fix itself
assumed we were talking about frost since it dominates every tourny. fires problem is completely different. you are forced to waste kicks on gpy allowing them to have super easy set ups, while they also have 3 schools of magic. on top of this most of their burst is instant damage. an easy fix to their burst is put more of their damage into fireball and take it away from fire blast
How do people say stuff like this? Maybe I’m just washed up old-school but I swear every time I face rogue mage it feels like If I mess up even a tiny bit someone dies in the opener because of how disgusting their burst is. I’ve literally been 100-0’d when I PRE-WALLED without being able to control my character or bubble because I died in a single garrote silence and my safeguard got RNG purged off from their burst. I’ve never had a problem with their sustain, so it’s just confusing when people say that it’s the exact opposite way of what I experience.
Remove assa/buff sub (mortal strike/snare), nerf rdruid mastery/sotf and nerf mage shields.
In addition to nerfing cleaves, destro, dk etc.
because i was referring to rmd with frost mage. frost has decent burst but i dont think its too outlandish. they shine when it comes to their constant sustained pressure with slows.
this is due to one or more people on your team not contributing to peeling. idk what ur running but for example if you are with a warlock he should be double coiling into spamming fear to try and peel
again im talking about sin frost rdruid. they still do sets up and can be scary during the goes, but what makes them really good is that they will win in dampening too.
Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I’m not really familiar with how much sustain mages do though it never feels like much, I think rogue does a lot more sustain, and IIRC rogue actually does more DPS than warriors and that just doesn’t seem right imo. Shouldn’t a warrior with big weapons be hitting harder than a master of control and sabotage?
my thoughts on this matter:
Idk what kinda warriors you are fighting, but no voice TSG’s should both be doing double the damage of any other class/spec even in CC heavy matchups.
Although obviously scoreboard dps isn’t what decides every game.
Assassination being the rogue spec is dumb though, yea.
their damage is no more cancerous than other classes, personally feel like their defensives need to be nerfed so they can be punished for running at you start to finish DRing their own kidneys
I love me some no voice TSG, imo it’s potentially the only comp that can go toe to toe with RMD lol. I played it with some 1200 players and we got 2k mmr in a winstreak. It feels so insane tbh but don’t tell anyone or else ladder will become infested with it.
The reality is assa should never be good. Kidney should never have a bleed. Toxic blade should be 45 sec.
assassination can absolutely be good, but it needs to lose shadowstep and damage from bleeds and poisons moved into mutilate and envenom; vendetta replaced with og cold blood

How much better is Assa over the other 2 specs? Is it the burst? Sustain damage? cuz its not the control, that’s for sure the other 2 specs probably have better control.
One of the major issues of mage/rogue is they can set up an opener from stealth. Revert back the invisibility from mages to tbc level… where they couldn’t see sh!t while invisible, only other mages. Take away the ability for rogues to stun more then one target. I mean, would it hurt them so much to lose the combo points being carried? revert that back to the old ways.
Also, buff Hunters. =) nerf the other FOTM classes and we’re all good in the hood.
I’d highly prefer if Outlaw was the best rogue spec, Outlaw actually feels so much nicer both to play and to fight against in general.
