The other guy is Anub’okki, he died too.
When you think about it, it’s very easy to die when you are Anub lol

I didn’t let him die, he died without my permission.
Spoilers
After you do his last quest, he says he wants to rest in view of the city and leaves. Then if you go looking for it you can find his corpse, in view of the city.

How bizarre. I did this quest at least twice and somehow missed that part of it.
Makes me wonder timeline wise, where this quest took place considering I believe he was there when we killed the queen. Then again, I’m clearly an unreliable source
