How do we go about getting Warfront Armor now?

Title says it all… I’m trying to get some armor for Transmog, specifically from Darkshore. I made a lower level character to queue up but the queues seem… Reallllllllly long. Is there an easier way to go about this? Am I missing something?

It’s BfA for one, wasn’t popular when it was current, I can’t imagine too many people still wanting to queue up for Warfronts.

Unfortunately blizzard never added an alternative way to get those sets, despite us asking repeatedly for over a year. They said they were adding a way to solo the island expeditions later so maybe they’ll do the same for warfronts. If they don’t it will be near impossible to get the sets otherwise. Try making a custom party in the premade groups tab until then.

They are going to have to make some significant changes to WFs to make them soloable in less than an hour, the same isn’t true of expeditions. Given Blizzard’s refusal to do anything about Legion raids and saying that we can just group up for them until we get better gear, I’m not real hopeful they are going to ever put much if any work into WFs.

Best bet is to form groups and hope you can keep finding other people in your boat. If you keep a regular schedule every week and post in your server’s forum then maybe you can gain a regular group of people.

They confirmed at BlizzConline they have absolutely no intention to change WF to be solo.
They have been extremely indifferent about legacy content, don’t expect that to change. It’s a very clear but “not-so” subtle discouragement from old content so people focus on the new content going forward.
I’ll keep saying it, they really want a clean slate. They want to let go of the last expansions, as it stands its a nightmare to maintain.

Sadly I agree. Those sets will be left to rot in content nobody wants to touch because they’re too stubborn to do anything about it.

Took me about an hour and 15 minutes to get a Darkshore queue on my Hunter last time it was up for Horde. I’ve been running the once-per-cycle quest for transmog just about every cycle since it went live trying to get the mail leggings.

I thought the pvp honorbound vendor / quests and Arathi / darkshore zones gave the same gear as the warfront. Correct me if I’m wrong though.

just play during bfa and u woulda gotten it

You can buy several sets for your class from the BFA pvp vendor.

Maybe they’ll eventually make it soloable or at the very least, require much less people for the queue to pop.

I don’t see it happening during Shadowlands though.

It’s possible I’m wrong, but I was under the impression that the only way to get pieces of the more elaborate version of the base Warfront set was through the quest “Warfront: The Battle for Darkshore” that awards a random piece each time.

I’ve got the entire “elaborate” Plate, Cloth, Leather, and Mail sets from Arathi and Darkshore Warfronts with the sole exception of those mail leggings from Darkshore.

As people keep telling me regarding another expansion’s content, “you should have gotten it when it was available.”

Of course, I think those people are arrogant snots who like to gatekeep. So I think it is a sad thing that you have to queue for such content.

But one more reason that Warfronts should have had a PvP option like the Islands did. It would probably be far more available on queueing. The other option would be a way to just walk in like a dungeon (it technically is a raid, anyway).

I did… Just not on this class and the sets are different between classes I guess.

Make a group and advertise in trade chat.

Oh really? I haven’t seen the BfA PvP Vendor… I honestly didn’t realize there was one. I’ll check it out.

Thanks everyone for the speedy replies, I appreciate it!

Just flag the Warfront sets as PvP sets and put them on a vendor, then they wouldn’t have to put their “limited” resources into making Warfronts solo-able.

And I say the limited thing sarcastically.

Realistically the only way you’re gonna get the warfront varients or the elite sets is to make a custom group. You can’t queue for heroic warfronts anyways so you may as well. Otherwise, yea. You can buy the basic version recolour off the BfA PvP vendor. The elite version seems to be forever locked away if you can’t scrounge up a group.

You can buy a version of the mail leggings on the ah, search uncanny combatant
