Why don’t you post less on the forums and actually get lvl 60?
Nah, waiting for SoM and HC.
Chances are rather high that’s not how the official server will work, and you know that. Ive seen your other posts and I get that you’re miffed about the possibility HC pushed back SoM2, but don’t spread false info to try and back up your speculations. The official server will function similarly but not the same as the addon, as was stated in the announcement.
But you die when you do that, and you don’t get to rez. It hasn’t changed the “die without a rez” basic mechanic one bit.
That’s not what they said in the announcement. They said the main difference between a normal server and the new HC server type is that when you die you can’t rez. If you want those optional game mechanics that are currently provided by the addon, I’m sure the addon writer will be adapting his addon for his fans.
Watch the dev discussion on youtube.
For people who want to play other game modes, you can also roll characters on normal or PvP servers.
The amount of work that would have gone into implementing changes to make the server function like your addon would have meant an extended development time, which we aren’t seeing.
thats the neat part, you don’t.
raid.
Can someone explain to me how it is possible to die when leveling to 60 if you don’t do dungeons?
HC rules were established first. People will still use the addon to have HC and HC elite sub categories. This player base will eat itself alive.
That seems like a way to cheese gearing up that is inconsistent with HC, in general.
Of course, who knows? Maybe that’s exactly how things will be.
Personally, I think it makes sense to have BGs be server only for HC realms, and if your character dies, that’s it.
Per the announcement, “Some aspects of the challenge that players are currently undertaking might be optional on official realms, and it also means some of the restrictions that we preserve may work slightly differently or be a little more flexible.” So along with the mention of a “ruleset” that was said a few times, my statement was fairly sccurate.
Some stuff that is currently implemented in the community HC will be kept as optional or even standard though altered.
I love the idea of if you die you die bgs though in practice its probably “there team is better our turn to afk out boys” XD
Quite a few have cheated already.
I only ever play on PvP realms. You can get ganked super easy that way. Rogues, druids, any long range class capable of nuking you down. Multiple versions of the HC, but one version simply states make it to 60 without ever dying. So you can get your raids and R14 after that, other versions still state you have one life total even after you level up to max.
Yeah, I meant for Hardcore. Hardcore + PvP of any kind would make no sense. I really don’t see what the point of leveling 1-60 “hardcore” is. Grinding and questing is literally made to be done solo, you’re only going to die to things like d/c and doing something dangerous like running through red mobs.
Sure. Two big ones are hyperspawns, which were originally implemented at the start of classic, and griefing by high level players who drag elites, high level mobs, or enemy guards into the area where many players are playing.
Death to RNG. Carefully kill mobs on your way to your target and suddenly 6 spawn on top of you.
this
NO BG death exception
cool, show us your verified 60
Verified on what? Some add on streamers made that can be easily cheated? lol
You don’t. simple as that
You simply don’t. It’s a PVE challenge for the most part. You can duel for fun though.
Besides the fact that half of what they listed won’t be the case on Blizzard HC servers.
