Hello, I am a returning player and decided to bring up my priest first, specifically playing a Shadow Priest. I see the Mind Sear is gone, how do we AOE now?
Also, Can anyone share their rotations with me? Also, any Helpful Addons that may be used? Thanks for any help!
To spread dots, shadowcrash is the only option. From there pick dotted mob with highest health and continue single target dps which will trigger 25% damage to other mobs through psychic link
Psychic link is the only way to do aoe damage outside of shadow crash. Honestly shadow is in a pretty 
y place right now so you get beat by tanks in aoe. Good luck!!
Thanks, I may shelve this priest and take up my Pally. Playiing priest just isn’t as fun as it used to be! Its very annoying not having enough AOE.
You multi dot or shadow crash, or both in very large pulls, and focus your st rotation into the priority target for the pull. Takes some getting used to, especially in larger pulls.
Been running m+ 7-10s all week and while the spec isn’t that strong, and the lower key levels don’t favour shadow’s damage pattern, I’ve not had issues with keeping myself ahead of tanks or being competitive with the other DPS in my party unless they send CDs and I don’t.
If you want a caster try elemental (or mage but elemental is way simpler if that is a concern).
Priest is in a 6? year low now and seems like it will stay down. 2 years ago the community got the infamous PW:GFY from the developers which basically says they intentionally keep priest in a bad spot cause … yeah
Bad time to come back to Shadow priest. Halo is a huge AOE DPS CD but takes a long time.
Otherwise its just psychic link and its bad, they just nerfed it to 25% damage and it really killed the AOE output.
