How do warfronts open up?

Are warfronts every couple weeks ? they weren’t available last week to me on any of my Horde characters and now were in a new week and there still not available .
I’ve joined them in the past , So it’s nothing on my end . I just don’t understand how they open

So you’ve done one already. Now when you go back to the area where the table is for queuing Warfronts you will either find blue quests (dailies) to turn in resources, mats… etc or you will find a portal or two to the Warfronts available ingame now which are Darkshore and Arathi Highlands.

When you click on the table it will tell you what Warfront is available and what will be available giving number of days/hours. And it is just a rotation between the 2 factions! So whatever is available for Horde is not for Alliance and vice versa.

I saw all that part , but I thought the rotation was weekly . On the table last week it was greyed out for me on both of em with a 6 day timer . fast forward 6 days and its still greyed out with a new timer .

Not sure what they’re intended rotation was, but because of their decision to shorten the Darkshore timers during the holiday break, both warfronts are on each faction concurrently, without enough stagger to satisfy both factions. For example on US realms right now:

  • Alliance controls Arathi, having finished their week of Stromgarde instance
  • Horde is contributing to Stromgarde
  • Alliance has the Darkshore instance active another 5 days.

So for the next 3-5 days, Alliance has both Arathi & Darkshore open with daily WQs, and Horde has neither zone available for that.

Maybe that’s how they wanted it, but I thought it was going to be staggered enough that each faction had a warfront active at roughly the same time.
