How do The Void, Fel stuff, and the Twisting Nether relate to one another?

How do The Void, Fel stuff, and the Twisting Nether relate to one another?

Fel Magic is the magic of Chaos.

All of reality is made of 50% Light and 50% Void, including Chaos.

Chaos is when Light and Void combine in a non-harmonious fashion.

So basically 50% of Fel is very angry Void. The other 50% is very angry Light.

The Twisting Nether is the realm of Chaos. It’s a place outside the physical universe but still inside reality.

This is a list of where every magic type falls in the WoW universe.

That was REALLY informative. Is this image from Blizzard?

This is the main article I’ve seen it from.It is actually a really interesting read, tbh.

The link to the creator, who is employed by Blizzard. And it is copyrighted by them.

Basically, the universe, called The Great Dark Beyond, is completely surrounded by the Twisting Nether. The Nether is a realm of pure chaos, where Fel energy abounds, birthing demons constantly.
Being technically outside of the universe, time doesn’t flow the same way inside the Nether, a single minute spent there could translate to years outside and vice versa.

On either, for lack of a better word, “side” of the universe is a realm of pure Light and a realm of pure Void, the clash of which creates Fel, which is pure chaotic destructive energy.

Light in it’s pure state is a force of creation and restoration, giving rise to life and eventually order.

Void in it’s pure state is a force of entropy, slowly breaking down and eventually unmaking things.

Demons frequently make use of Void magic because their natures are similar but they are different. Void walkers are actually beings of Void but are frequently conscripted by the Legion, Shadowbolt is also Void, etc.

Demonology

By their very nature, demons are leeches on the living universe—but the demonologist has mastered harnessing the power of these malefic beings on the field of battle. Warlocks harvest the souls of their defeated enemies; those specialized in the ways of demonology use this life essence to tap into the Void, pulling all manner of abomination from the chaos of the Twisting Nether. While such a practice is often considered by outsiders to be wicked and reckless, the demonologist maintains absolute control over the summoned creatures. These malignant entities are fully beholden to—and empowered by—the will of the warlock, until banished to the realm from whence they came.

Fel Magic users usually get their Fel Magic by using Void Magic to fetch it from the Twisting Nether.

Void Magic feeds on Souls reducing them to Void while Fel feeds on normal Life Energies. Of course one can use Souls as an endless source of Life for Fel though the result is usually the Souls turning into Sha-like Monstrosities(https://wow.zamimg.com/uploads/screenshots/normal/602665.jpg)

That image is from the warcraft chronicles so yes, 100% canon

Void is the opposite of Light, both are the “primordial” elements from which the universe was born. But not only our universe (the Great Dark Beyond) was created, also the Twisting Nether which would be a sort of different dimension.

Fel emanates into our universe from the Twisting Nether as well as demons.

So all other types have some cool sounding representation (gods, titan, naaru, legion), but death has…undead? That seems pretty bland in comparison. It’s kind of weird too since undead seems to imply a failed reversal of death. Why not have some special group of elite ghosts/spirits, or are they considered undead as well?

That’s because we are gods.

HAH

Ok so first we are on the Chronicle diagram of Magic on the same level as Naaru, Titans, Wild Gods and Old Gods.

Second, we have “Ichor of Undeath” in our veins instead of blood. According to google’s dictionary, “Ichor” means “the fluid that flows like blood in the veins of the gods.”

There’s a religion based on Undead worship. It’s called The Cult of the Damned.

And we have created a race: The Abominations.
(You could argue that we just put them together from pieces of other people but how is that any different from a Titan putting a Dwarf together from stones? It’s not like the Titans made the stones!)

So yes. We are Gods. I await tribute.

The twisting nether was created when the Light and the Void collided. Demons were born from it.

Fel is the embodiment of Chaos (one of the 6 greater forces along with light, life, order, death and void). Fel is utter destruction, fel energy is generated through the destruction of life.

The Void seeks to consume everything. It is at odds with Fel because it cannot consume what has been destroyed. Sargeras knew this and decided to employ this in his quest to deny the void anything in the entire multiverse.

The Void is also at odds with Death because it cannot consume what death has already claimed. For example, the Void practically begged Alleria to kill Sylvanas.

Well, if it means I can hope for playable naaru, titan, legion demon, old and wild gods as well in the future, then accept my tribute. Otherwise, go back where you belong!
