So there are 4 different brackets of raiding:
-Raid Finder: 25 players
-Normal: 10-25 players
-Heroic: 10-25 players
-Mythic: 20 players
If I have that right, these are some questions I have about how raid lockouts work for bosses.
1. I know RF can be done repeatedly each week, though bosses are only lootable once. So are the other 3 brackets all separate and you can do all 3 brackets of a raid and get loot from each boss once per week, per a bracket?
2. Can you still join others' raids and do the bosses again, even though you won't get loot, in the same week?
3. If you skip the first boss of a raid, but do all the other bosses, can you go back later and do the the first boss for loot? Does the first boss respawn after a set amount of time for you to do this?
4. Do these same rules apply to mythic dungeons and heroic dungeons?
Loot lockouts are now personal and specific to the boss tied only to the raid's difficulty. If you join a raid that's on the last boss & down him then you can go back in another raid and down the previous bosses for loot. You can kill to last boss again, but will not get another loot drop (excluding bonus roll)
And then you can do it all over again for the next tier of difficulty.
Same rules for the dungeons. Exception being M+ which you can run as many times as you want.

Mythic raids use the older raid ID system. So, if you kill a boss in a Mythic raid, you're saved to that ID, and can't join any other groups that week. All other raid difficulties can be done as many times as you want, but you only get loot the first time you kill a boss on each difficulty. You can use the bonus roll coins on bosses you've previously killed, but some special items like mounts and pets can't be won on bonus rolls. (It's best to do a search to see if bonus rolls work if your going for something out of the ordinary on a boss.)
For the more flexible difficulties, the bosses available to kill will be based on the raid leader's progress. (Of course, the raid leader who cleared one raid can do it again if someone who hasn't done it yet is raid leader of the new group.) So, if you get into a group that's already killed some bosses you can still find a different group later to go back and kill them.

1. Yes, that's correct. You can loot each boss once per difficulty, per week. However you can still bonus roll for loot on bosses that you have already looted for the week.
2. Yes. You can kill a boss as many times as you want on any difficulty (except Mythic), but you will only be eligible to loot the boss or receive loot through Master Looter once per week.
3. If you come into an in-progress Normal or Heroic raid, you will share their lockout. What this means is that your lockout will consider the raid "complete", however you can still go into someone else's fresh lockout and loot the bosses that you did not already kill. So say you come into a raid with three bosses already down and kill the remainder of the bosses with them. You can later go back and find a group starting fresh and be able to kill and loot the first three bosses, but while you will be able to kill the rest of the bosses with them, you will not be able to loot them.
If you accept a Mythic lockout, however, you will not be able to go back and kill earlier bosses until after the lockouts reset on Tuesday.
4. Yes and no. Heroic dungeons can be done a few different ways. The first is to queue for a specific dungeon. This can be done once per day, per dungeon. Second is to walk into the instance itself. This can be done up to 10 times per hour, and you will be able to gain loot each time. You must reset the instance between runs for this to work. Finally, you can queue for random Heroics infinitely, which will award an additional AP token upon completion on top of any loot you may obtain.
Mythic dungeons, on the other hand, can only be done for loot once per week (outside of keys). While Mythic+0 instances can be reset the same way that Heroic instances can, the loot chances do not reset, although you do get an AP token upon each completion of the instance. Mythic+ keys, however, can be run on any difficulty as many times as you can get a key for, and chances for loot are available upon the completion of each run.

One additional question on this..which you may or may not have answered. I'm not clear.
If our raid lead extends a HEROIC lockout to next week. Will we be tied to the same lockout or can we join another person leading the group and kill the bosses and loot without bonus rolls?
To clarify, can raid lead extend so we can down the last 2 heroic bosses and then we switch the party leader, reset and kill+loot bosses 1-6?

Yes, I believe you should be able to do what you're suggesting. Because Heroic lockouts are not shared, only the raid leader would need to change for that. Regardless, even the person holding the lockout will be able to loot the first 6 bosses, as loot chance resets are independent of lockouts.
The caution, however, is that if your new group leader was part of the group killing the final boss, then you might need to figure out how to work your way back up after resetting the lockout, as some raids behave oddly and place you at the location of your last killed boss rather than the beginning.
Any chance you think that legacy mythics could have their lockouts revamped?
I just joined a custom group for a legion mythic, was summoned to the last boss, but now have to wait til next week to do any of the prior bosses.
All I wanted was a mog from the first boss

So here's a question....
What happens if you pug mythic bosses on your own server. Then they extend their lockout. Are you tied to that lockout / raid id from the previous week. Or are you awarded a new raid id when you enter mythic raid on Tuesday ?

So, Question. Is there a way of telling which bosses from uldir you have taken down or looted in that current week? or is it that you kinda just remember who you took down?

If you open the Raid menu (default keybind O, then click the tab at the bottom of the window that said "Raid"), you can see what lockouts you have for all dungeons and raids. Clicking on a lockout for a raid will show you which bosses you have and have not defeated.
