Not sure why, other than to make a point and maybe disturb players who don’t have EA but are nonetheless keeping track

The 80 elites also sometimes drop really good gear.
And I don’t know if professions are actually locked, because they seem to be working entirely.
This. I got a 577 shield for my warrior while on my DK from tagging a level 80 rare.
Only the regular, gated aspects are locked. No daily cooldowns are available, nor are weekly profession quests. You can earn and spend knowledge from first crafts and Artisan’s Acuity, but you can only learn spark recipes and cannot actually craft them until the season tarts.

Dungeon loot from bosses cannot be upgraded, but trash mob BOEs can…
It’s been just over 24 hours. With the speed of leveling and the fact that many people run with guildies to level and spam dungeons, this is not at all surprising.

low level crests are going to be functionally useless to someone who intends to spam m+ so why not spend them now? Get as geared as you can before the season starts to enable smoother entry.

I haven’t started the expansion yet, but the auction house is chock full of 561+ items usable by level 70 characters. I think that may be in error, so I’m not buying any of them even though they are better than anything I have received from normal mode awakened raiding.
this will mean nothing in a week chill

YOu need to do the daily 3 World quests in each zone - then it will unlock the daily cache of 574 drop. he probably did it yesterday on all zone and today. And also lucky with the drops. I think.
I got a 574 chest, which I probably wont upgrade 2/8.
Likely to prep for 10s. Lotta people skip over low level keys.

Man you must be new to WoW. From BC and on, if you had a farm group at launch and speed leveled/dungeon leveled, you were set for raids within a couple days of launch. Flip side, you didn’t enjoy the expansion because you rushed. My advice… stop worrying what others do and play how you want. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the expansion and get gear to that level and be raid ready before the first raid launches. But #1 overall. STOP worrying how others play and where they are at. My lord. Who cares? It just means they will be bored a lot faster.

Make sure to upgrade it via Valor. Check on youtube where the vendor is.
Only upgrade high quality ones
we have a week of daily reset 0s coming before we get to m+ that’ll drop 493 gear, any farming now is irrelevant, hence why the EA isn’t an advantage in regards to gearing up.
