I just add it to my tool bar from the pet spells and manually type “Freeze” into my Tell Me When add-on to track it’s CD.
That’s the crazy thing. It is not showing up in my spellbook anywhere. Neither my pet’s abilities nor my own.
It use to be Control 5 by default, not sure if its changed. I always have mine bound to one of my mouse buttons.
Have you tried the slash command? I believe it’s /petcast freeze.
I will give that a try! Thanks!!
Nope. It doesn’t recognize that command. Thank you anyway.
It should at least show on your petbar. Do you have it hidden?
It’s been a while since I played a pet class, but I think the pets have a separate tab in the spellbook or talent page.
They do have a separate tab, and it does not show there either. I am going to make a Frost Mage on Retail and see what happens.
That’s weird. Is it on your pet’s active bar when you have him up? if it is, you can move it off his to yours.
Nope. Not there either. Just the Waterbolt ability.
Update:
So, my pet’s Freeze ability DOES show up on his Action Bar in Retail. So, my issue seems to be with the Build that is currently on the PTR. Very odd. I need to double check the Build that I have on the Beta here as well.
What level is your mage on PTR? If you or your pet is less then level 23, you don’t have the ability yet.
Edit for updated info.
So, I figured out what happened. In the Dialogue Box, when I dinged 23, it said that my pet had gained the ability but the button for it never showed up anywhere. However, when I dinged level 32 THEN the button showed up.
This did not work for me in TBC Classic, I had to add the !
to make it work…
