So how do I, without any 3rd party software, put 1 account on one monitor and the other account on the other monitor, of course, using the same pc? If I launch the second account it appears on top of or underneath the first account so I have to alt-tab to go in-between windows. Any way to put account 2 on monitor 2?
In the video settings in-game, change the target display the appropriate monitor.
woohoo… worked like a charm. ty
hmm ok, new issue. (my other character)
So is there any way to get it to remember:
WoW1 is Monitor 1 with “X” Graphic settings
WoW2 is Monitor 2 with “Y” Graphics settings
Like monitor 2 settings I keep at Graphics Quality 4 while monitor 1 I keep at 10. and every time I login I have to change at least one of their settings because seems to default to the one I logged out with OR am logged in with. But when I log in it’s the others (hope that makes sense)
I don’t believe graphics settings are account specific, and instead are system specific. I don’t think there is a way to force them to maintain those settings when dual-boxing.
People are making things too complicated. I have two accounts and do it all the time. First off you need a computer that that can run two accounts at the same time. Check your Windows Display setting to make sure “Extend These Displays” for your two monitors is selected.
Then I open my main account on my main monitor. Next, I open my secondary account on my main monitor. I select Menu, System, and Graphics Under Graphics change the Display Mode to Windowed, Apply and Okay. Then drag it over to your secondary monitor and adjust the size.
