How do I unlock Vashj'ir?

Chromie leaving me high and dry after asking me to check out the Hero’s Call Board but I cant find any quest that points me to Cataclysm zones even though I filled my whole quest log with those random quests.

She did asked me to find her if I need her for any reason, so I did. I requested to switch to another timeline then switch back to Cataclysm one, and once again she asked me to check out that board…

So I should keep doing this quest and repeatedly run back and forth until I’m level 50? Is this intended?

Interesting. Not even a choice like Hyjal vs. Vashjir? I love that zone. Wish I could help you test it out

Yeah all I found on the board was Vanilla, Outland and Northrend quests… Time travel not working?

That broken draenei guy on the Eastern Earthshrine isn’t giving me any quest either.

What level is your toon? it should not have any effect right?

I’m curious if making a new toon and choosing like Vanilla then changing your mind for a different expansion part way through causes a problem.

Tried other toons? I’ve got to wait 15 hours before I can play :frowning:

There’s only Cataclysm, BC, WotLK, MoP, WoD, Legion and BfA options from Chromie…

My alt is 24 btw.

So you’re saying there’s a Cataclysm option from chromie, vashjir is Cataclysm. Or did you do a typo in that statement?

I haven’t done chromie leveling yet, but doesn’t she just give you a general quest for each expansion for leveling. You don’t necessarily go to the board for a specific location right now…

She left me after asking me to check out that board. The only big yellow exclamation mark I saw on my map was “King’s Command” or something, which takes me to Pandaria instead of asking me to check out what Thrall is doing in that whirlpool.

Cataclysm includes EK and Kalmidor. You have to be I think 30 before you can access Hyjal or Vashj’ir.

“Cataclysm” includes lower zones that were revamped in Cata as well.

Hmm… 🤷🏼. Now I’m perplexed.

Have you gone through the new starting area to eat the newest achievement? I’m only asking since there might be a flagging hiccup.

Lol… So I can go to Pandaria on level 24, but I need to be 30 to access Hyjal and Vash’ir…? Chromie’s head needs fixing.

I think it has to do with Cata zones requiring flight, which you don’t get until 30.

Pretty much Cataclysm includes the revamped zones which is all of EK and Kalmidor. The old 80-85 zones require flying which is unlocked at level 30. Once you hit 30 you should see Hyjal and Vashj’ir on the board.

Okay… So I should probably not do Uldum, Vashj’ir and Hyjal loremaster on leveling toon…

You unlock the Cata Zones such as Hyjal, Vashj’ir, Uldum and Twilight Highlands at level 30.
