How do I unlock Eredar skin colors?

I just got home from work and updated my game client.

Logged into the game on my Draenei character. Did not get a popup or breadcrumb quest in Valdrakken. Went to Exodar. Nothing there. Went to Dalaran over Broken Isles. Nothing there. Went to Vindicaar and talked to Velen. No quest.

Preview for patch says Velen has a prophesy that will allow me to unlock Man’ari Eredar skin colors but I can’t figure out how to do it in the game.

Not until next week. Official patch notes:

  • On September 12, follow Velen’s prophecy to reveal a new future for some of the draenei people.

WTF why are they time gating something so simple?

Space out content so it’s not all thrown at you at once.

“content.”

Going to the barber shop and selecting red from skin tones is not “content.”

The entire questline to unlock it is content.

Could be delaying the release to avoid spoilers for the 10.2 reveal on Thursday.

There is literally no reason to lock a quest line to gain a couple new skin tones to space it all out. The quest will take 15-20 minutes tops. This is just stupid.

It’ll be okay.

I would be genuinely surprised if a side questline about demons to unlock a customization that not everyone cares about would somehow spoiler anything.

Blizz seems to think so. Spend this week doing the heritage armors, new storyline, Dreamsurges and Preservationists stuff. :dracthyr_shrug:

It isn’t ready yet.

You don’t cause its timegated till next week lol

Draenei should not be warlocks. Neither should Night Elves.

Anyone can be a warlock. Anyone can be any class. Just because it’s not traditional heritage for a race doesn’t mean there can’t be anyone of that race doing it. And Warlocks are the perfect example of this since in every race Warlocks are literally the shunned and tabooed class that is only practiced by either social outcasts or by secretive practitioners in the shadows outside of public eye.

Since no playable race functions like a hivemind then that means that every race has individuals that want to do more than what their races social practices allow them. That includes Draenei dabbling in Demonology, Night Elves experimenting with the Arcane, Humans joining Druidic circles, Goblins becoming zen Monks, etc.

At the moment the only class with actual physical restrictions is Evoker, due to that whole needing to be a flying firebreathing dragon thing. I’m sure that can be changed in a world full of magic, alchemy and sci-fi technology, though.

This is the most sensible post about this I have seen so far.

“Space out content so it’s not all thrown at you at once.”
This is grossly disingenuous. Not only is it obvious that it was done for timegating reasons, but Blizzard has a strong habit of tying simple small stuff to long winded questlines that can be reduced to merely taking 3 loading screens and painstakingly reading through nothing-burger monologues, all meant to bloat the game further and stretch metrics.
Because that’s what most of all this game has been reduced to by the leading heads at Acti-Blizz; metrics. This is a long known fact for quite some time now. In fact, it’s an issue that doesn’t only plague Acti-Blizz, but just about everything that is under a corporate umbrella. Stop. Defending. These. Things.

It’ll be okay, but people are being told things are put out for a specific date, only to find out after that date has come that these things are for a different date. I’ve played this game for over a decade and Blizzard has always done this.
And the only reason why they still do it? People defend it.

Someone just gave you a reason.

not yet…but we will get there at some point. On another note I hope all you who desire red draenei get your eredar skins, Blizzard makes odd calls but at least it’s only a week you have to wait and not 10 years like the worgen had to wait to get a decent model
