Calendar events (e.g.: Darkmoon Faire start) all seem to use a clock that’s neither my “Local Time”, nor the “Realm Time”.
Is there any in-game method for me to tell what the time is, in the same clock as the calendar? i.e.: Is there any way for me to see the current calendar time?
Alternatively, is there any method for changing the calendar to use either Local Time or Realm Time?
Because currently I don’t think I have any mechanism for translating to/from calendar time, while in-game. Which really detracts from the usefulness of the calendar times.
If you mouse over the in-game clock, it tells you realm time and local time. If that’s not quite what you’re looking for, then you simply do the math, your local time vs PST will never change, so once you know the time difference, you’ll always know.
For example, I’m EST, which is 3 hours ahead of PST, so right now it’s 4:15am, and I know that means it’s 1:15am PST. Whatever your time zone is you’re living in, you can simply Google “What is my local time in pacific time” and it will tell you.
I know historically Daylight Savings used to throw things off oddly, but I cannot recall if it were with this stretch or the winter switch. Or if that is still a thing.
As to being able to choose what time to show?
If you pan over the in-game clock, it’ll give you the option to “Click to show clock settings.”
The last option is a toggle to show your local time rather than the realm time.
Ok fine, the point is, you can simply Google “What is my local time in PST” and it will literally tell you, and once you know the time difference you should be able to calculate it automatically. No, there’s currently nothing in game that will do that for you. I graciously thank you for taking the time to point out my small error, while ignoring 3 posts (in addition to the remainder of mine) directing you to solutions. <3
I feel like I shouldn’t mark anyone’s reply as “ Solution” if they’re either workarounds, giving me related info, or telling me that no solution exists.
I guess I submit a suggestion to add this functionality.
