How do I start older expansion quest?

Hello I am new to WoW and wanted to start from the beginning so I don’t miss any important story arcs. How do I start the past story lines like Cataclysm or Warlords?

Technically, all of the questlines in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor are Cataclysm quests because they were all revamped and streamlined when Cataclysm came out.

However, if you mean the storylines for the expansions specifically; the questlines will become available when you hit the level for those expansions.

  • Starting areas: 1-20

  • Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms: 10-60

  • Outland and Northrend: 58-80

  • Cataclysm and Pandaria: 80-90

  • Warlords: 90-100

  • Legion: 98-110

  • Battle for Azeroth: 110-120

These questlines generally start as a pop up quest, or in Orgrimmar/Stormwind. If you get lost, check Wowhead

While you seem to be low enough it should not really matter.

Make sure you turn on “show trivial quests” or low level quest…something along those lines.

The zones are mostly self contained in kalimodore and the Eastern kingdoms. It doesn’t really become a railroad style story line until pandaria imo.

there are couple options you can do:

1 when ever you hit the cap for the LVLing expereince go to your factions main hub for hordeit be Orgrimmamr and stop your XP and just do all the zones with in that LVL range before resumiing XP and keep on doing this till youve done every zone in game and hit max LVL

2 as you hit the LVL cap for the LVLing expereince finish off the zone your in and progress to the next exepricen (example when you hit 60 finish the zone your in progress to either TBC or Wrath content since you can do either now then when you hit 80 do something and do same thing when ever you hit 90, 100, 110 all the way to max then when you hit max go back and finish off the rest of the zones so youve done all of them.

there is an achievement called Loremaster which youll obtain once youve done all the stornlines in each expansion and then the Loremaster Meta for doing all the loremasters

It’s on by default in the interface menu but the adventures guide button on your action bar should glow and alert you to new questlines. I think they can also be access from your factions adventure board. But you have to be the right level too.
