How do I pug a mythic +10?

I have been running my own keys and forming groups. But I hit a plateau around 7-8 where the people in my group make lots of mistakes. How do I use raider IO to get to higher keys. Is being in a guild mandatory?

Add the people from the groups you make that you think are good and start making your own groups outside of LFG with people you’ve ran with in the past.

I ask people after a successful key if they want to run another key and they always leave. They don’t stay to long. What should I do then?

Add them to your friends list. Or make an in-game community and invite them.

You won’t believe how much easier keys are when you’re running with the same people all the time. You get a mind-meld going and everything becomes SO much easier.

I mean one way is to just get Raider I.O. and be patient in the LFG only inviting those who have completed higher keys than yourself.

This to the extreme. Running with the same people makes keys so much better, and way more fun.

Hi Mate, if you want to push higher key stones you need IO score if you are pugging, It just gives you an idea on how experienced a player is. You Don’t need a guild just add good players to your friends list when you find them. Coms helps a lot as well using the in game chat or discord makes a massive different, especially with call kicks and cc’s. If your serious about doing 10+ keys you need to put the effort in there not designed to be easy and face roll puggable.

Thanks! The hardest part is making a network.

That’s the hardest part all the way up to the absolute top end of M+ running.

I spend more of my time trying to get a quality 5 man group together than actually timing keys.

The good thing is, at the level of ~+10, comp doesn’t matter, like…at all.

Literally any spec combo can easily time 10s. You could take the most meme-tastic spec combo you could think of into a +10 of any dungeon and time it with good players.

Only worry about composition when you start getting higher up into the keys, like the 15+ range, and even then it’s more about just having a rogue and a brez.

Nice, so I don’t have to be picky about specs

Here’s how.

I looked you up quick. You’re missing a lot of keys still. If you want todo 7-8’s, you need to start with getting a +6 on time for everything else. Finding those keys shouldn’t be to tough

Before that though, you need to get enchants and gems. I wouldn’t run with you. You… wouldn’t run with you. You need to put in the base minimum effort first, then the other stuff comes.

Then it’s a matter of running your keys as you are and keep doing them again and again. Eventually, you’ll land on a decent group of a people and you +1 a key. Ask those people to stay and do the next key. Maybe you get lucky and get a few keys done.

As of now, your gear is really far behind. You should be running all the base +0 mythic dungeons to get rid of the blue pieces and some of the other extremely low pieces you have. I’d also suggest doing LFR to help you get caught up some. Beyond that, when you do find good people, ask them if you can add them and see if they are down for more later. Then, hit them up and do some more keys.

You don’t need to be in a guild to get decently high. Last season I got to 2100+ just pugging. After that, it does get tougher. In legion, I hit 3400 and then pushed to 4400 with a group I was consistently running with. I still pugged a lot to continue to find new people, but most of the good pushes come from doing the same key with the same group. So, you fail a +20… turn it to a +19 and do it again… fail that? Do the +18 and keep figuring out the best strat to get it done.

In the end, it just takes a lot of time and some boldness. Lots of the ‘best’ players in this game are better at networking then anything.

Edit: I should add, once you do start getting a decent score, above maybe 800-1000, try to find others that are in the same range. It’s not that the score itself says they are good, but it will at least say they have put in roughly the same effort. There are plenty of good players with terrible scores and plenty of terrible players with good scores. So it’s always good to look them up on Raider IO and actually see what they have done. Generally though, still aim for people within 100-200 of your own score.

Nah. Specs don’t matter anywhere near as much as player skill does.

And you don’t need to shroud anything in a +10 to easily time it. Shrouding makes life easier, ofc, but it’s absolutely not necessary in a 10.

Having one brez is always a good safety net though.

Get to ilvl 425 and it should be pretty easy for a DH to find a group. Just be persistent.

The hard part is getting there haha

Befriend good tanks as you climb. They will make getting past future seasons very easy.

Do gems and enchants make a big difference in dps? Idk if it’s worth spending money on them when I can save up for repair costs.

Absolutely they do.

And once you start getting above 10s, using battle potions (like unbridled fury for bosses and empowered proximity for trash) starts to become huge as well.

If you seriously want to start pushing keys, you need enchants and gems and potions and repair bills and food. Invis pots and lightfoot potions for certain strats, stuff like that.

Running keys isn’t cheap if you get serious about it.

between your two gem slots and missing ring and weapon enchant, you’re basically missing a piece of gear worth of stats. I wouldn’t buy the expensive enchants, but getting the basic ones will still get you 150-200 stats.

Why do you have sockets with no gems in them? Gems are not expensive… they’re like 20 gold. +60 enchants arel ike 1k each. They are all affordable.

LAST… YOU HAVE A TANK SPEC, JUST USE IT… you can choose your loot to drop gear for your dps spec, there is no reason for you not to be running on your tank spec.

Doing keys as a tank is so much easier because there is a HUGE demand for tanks. There is zero demand for dps, there will always be someone better than YOU applying.

If you can’t socket and enchant your gear, what makes you think you can do a 10? Keep running low keys till you hit ilvl in your 20s, run normal eternal palace.

You are not ready to do a 10. This isn’t that easy of a week for a tank so maybe the next one will be better.

Oh yeah, go watch videos about routes and waht to do as a tank. Youre the lead of the group.

Well, if you don’t have any experience, the best way is to run every keys up to +9, then you’ll have a decent io score around 800-900. From there you can pug 10s easily, most people don’t want to invite people that have no experience/low io to their group.
