I plan on rolling an UD warlock and an Orc warrior or lock/rogue for classic.
Is it possible to do this? like say i do lock/warrior can i keybind corruption and heroic strike/charge on 1 keybind from 1 monitor with both out in the world together?
I’m a multibox noob
You might wanna go to a 3rd Party site and ask. You are gonna garner some hostility on the forums as it’s quite a touchy subject.

surely someone can help me?
I understand the hostile nature to the subject, never did it before but I want a war/lock/rogue to 60 together asap.
Um… really, Google “How to Multibox” You are gonna get a lot of hate and incorrect information from the crowd here.

only because people can’t accept that it’s NOT against the TOS

I think it’s only bad if you multi like 10-20 toons for pvp/griefing.
Mine is just for lvling efficiencies
I know. But some people are quite vocal against it.
multiboxing isnt against ToS…
good luck in making it work without automation, and thats against the ToS as far as i know

Normal multibox: Just boot more than 1 copy of the game at once and alt tab.
Multibox cheating: Use a program/hardware/etc to sync or automate the characters.
THESE ARE NOT THE SAME.
No, I’m not going to help you cheat, nor should you wan to. (Blizzard freely allows it though, because they care more about money than game integrity)

Go to dual-boxing.com, that is a good place to start. You also need some form of keycloning software. Most people use ISBoxer. It costs $15/90days or $50/yr. You can get a free 7 day trial to test it out. Watch videos on it. It can be a bit overwhelming at first but it gets easier as you mess around with it. It’s a pretty powerful program if you take the time to learn everything it can do.

You need a laptop and a desktop, a /follow and some scripted commands.
I’ve never done it, because it requires multi tasking. And I’m a keyboard masher.

I couldn’t get hotkeynet to work on classic.
I was just using hkn on the stress test weekend. It works. Also you don’t need two computers but you do need two accounts. One screen is sufficient for simple dual boxing. Good luck.

Warden doesn’t check for two instances? Huh. Must be allowed, then.
That does not remove the stench of lameness of the practice.

For argument sake, just because, it’s the internet, suppose I have 5 accounts.
And on account 1, I complete quest 1. Then I log out, and log back, and, having just completed quest 1, the method is fresh in memory, I complete quest 1 (after having mailed myself any extra drops that might have happened).
And I do this for all 5 accounts on the same server. And I do that rotation until each is at 60.
Is this less lame than just splitting XP?
Using a keyboard multiplexer to send commands to all instances of WoW you have running.
Basically it works like this
Using two mages as an example
Mage one keybind 1 is cast fireball
Mage two keybind 1 is /assist mage 1 /cast fireball
Now when you press 1 it sends that input to both instances of WoW causing both mages to cast fireball at mage one’s target
Everything on mage 2 is a macro usually
This is how I dual boxxed back in the day
100% not automation and 100% allowed
