I got a character boost for a new char and it is lvl 70. I want to join a shadowlands covenant with it but I can not locate a quest to get started. Anyone have any ideas?
Unfortunately to the best of my knowledge the " fate" system was removed. It means you have to play through the shadow lands story to join a covenant properly.

How can I start the story? Do you know where the starting quest is?
Theres a quest in SW where you meet Bolvar in front of the SW castle. That starts it I think

The fate system was not removed. I just did this last week on this char at level 70.
1: Make sure you’re tracking trivial quests.
2: Go to SW, talk to Darion Mograine just like the old days, except select the text dialogue that says something to the effect of “I’ve heard this story before”. You might have to select Sally for it, but just follow what Darion tells you.
3: You’ll be ported to Oribos and you’ll be frozen in place until one of those Oribos people talk to you. At that point you’ll select threads of fate and then you’ll head to the big room where Bolvar is to get started with selecting a covenant.
