How do I increase my DPS as a Fury Warrior? I'm not sure what else to do

Hey all.

So up till now I’ve held my own in game. But I constantly get told my DPS is very low. My item level is 223, my Haste is 34%… I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Even my DH friend is out DPSing me by like 200K. Tanks always out DPS me nearly. I’ve looked at a few guides and adjusted a few talents… but I’m not sure what else.

This is my toon: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/grizzly-hills/jorreno

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just honestly don’t know what else to do currently. Thank you in advance!

I figured out your problem.

I get out DPSed by 208s.

Some classes scale differently but at max level (or near it) they usually level out.

Warrior is notorious or being gear dependent.

A good example is Havoc DH. They leave lots of other classes in the dust at lower levels, but once everyone is up to current gear standards things level out.

There’s also the possibility you’re underperforming as a player which no one can help you with unless you post a vod or something.

But I’d start focusing on gear. My dps went up heavily with the new gear I’ve been getting from +15’s. I’d prioritize getting gear.

Well if it’s a gear issue then I can deal with that. I was just worried I was playing the class wrong or something.

Thank you for your input.

CD usage is another big one. Your damage is going to be gated by how the tank pulls. For example, if you play with a consistent tank and know how they pull/are in voice with them, they should, and you should, communicate when big pulls are coming and/or when you’re CD’s are available.

As a tank main, I pull aggressively around my dps’s CD’s. Big pulls aren’t so scary with all the DPS CD’s running. Then weave in a smaller pull while CD’s come back up, rinse and repeat.

But if you’re using CD’s randomly without any idea what’s coming next, you’re limiting your output.

Lot’s of factors at play, but right now, you’re definitely limited by your gear.

Try running Cruelty. Maybe drop about 4% haste for some crit if possible.

Kinda hard to help you without logs to pinpoint what you doing wrong on a fight.

From checking your armory, you dont have weapon enchant. You using torgash lego, use signet lego instead.

In general i will assume you using your cds incorrectly like at the wrong moment like hateclap said or you not keeping up enrage.

Your stats dont really manner since ilvl is best, so just keep grinding the gear friend.

The highest problem cones from your Leggo. Sinful Surge is used for single target in raids, and even then it performs well only if you have full uptime during your execute periods. In mythic+, with frequent mechanics and smaller execute phases, you’re almost playing without a legendary. Using Signet will significantly increase your DPS in M+.
Also, Venthyr does not have the same amount of burst as NF or Kyrian fury, so you can check out those covenents too. But play what you enjoy in the end of the day, all covenents/specs are fine for KSM (15s ish mark)

OP, you sim at 5258 DPS in a vacuum 5 minute Patchwerk sim with full buffs.

For starters, you need a real legendary. For Night Fae, you’ll likely still use–or at the very least, greatly benefit from–crafting Signet of Tormented Kings (best slot is your ring; you get the socket for free now). Your secondary stat spread is actually fine. So, this isn’t a gear issue.

Looking at your logs, you are way, mega, far and beyond spamming too much Whirlwind. It’s the filler ability, and is dead last in your rotation for single target (and is used to prime your next two abilities to cleave when in multi-target). You want to funnel as much of your DPS through Enrage uptime as possible. Your priority should be to Rampage if Enrage is falling off, or you’re hitting 90+ rage, and then Raging Blow > Bloodthirst > Whirlwind. When Execute is available it take takes the highest priority for rage generating abilities. You pretty much want to use Recklessness and Bladestorm on cooldown, unless holding it to align with adds or cleave, and you want to be Enraged first if you can help it.

The Wowhead guide by Archimtiros for Fury warriors is basically all you need to get started on being a good warrior, and the rotation priority is the rule of thumb.

Awesome thank you so much for your input. This helps me out a lot.

Posting you Amory isn’t going to do any good you need to post your logs, also why are you using that lego im assuming your just messing around

Your way over soft haste caps and way low on mastery bro. Sim yourself.
