There is a Worgen roaming around here who appears to be knowledgeable in such matters. Perhaps he can loan us his expertise.
Meh me too just a little bit but I don’t go around making posts on how to ignore people. I never put people on ignore, as they can always be a reliable source of information in the future or can be a very entertaining person sometimes. That and eventually you might find yourself with everybody on ignore after awhile and then they’ll be nobody to talk to or listen to.
by scrolling on by and not responding to them.
Rhielle gave you an answer, there is no option in the new forums. I think you are reading too much into the reply.
There is no option to totally ignore the person and their comments. It’s a feature they have somewhere on their list of things to do but by the speed this new forum came, I’d think it’ll take quite a while to implement.
Dont we all ha. I mean I still read threads that I know shouldnt just based off the title.
Dude I did that this morning. Kept telling myself to stop and ignore it, but I just kept reading…
Gah some of them you just cant look away from no matter how bad they are!
right! I see someone I don’t like I just scroll by, I don’t even read what they had to say.
You are correct, sir. It is incorrect placement of a particular adjective before a noun. The question of “a” vs “an” is always decided by the pronunciation of the word that follows the article. “a user” would have been correct.
I was just gonna write something like that. Title made me cringe too.
As for the OP reading Rhi’s post badly, that may be part of the reason why she wants to ignore people. She’s reading things with some skewed mindset when posts could be totally innocuous.
I mean I’ll be honest all I see is sarcasm from said post. Not saying it is or isn’t (apparently it wasn’t supposed to be) or whether it was warranted or not. Just pointing out that IS what it reads like at face value.
First of I dont want to be mean when I say this but if that post is already something you find toxic I believe you need to grow a thicker skin. Like that other poster said snarky at best but certainly not toxic.
Secondly I never understood why people have to hide behind different alts to post on this forum. If you had to use your real ID sure that would be nasty. But no one is going to look up your account to harass you for things you say here if you want to say it on your main.
Well then, you’re reading other people’s words with your own prejudice. That’s what I was trying to say - the posts the OP and you read that way sounds different to others. Plus reading Rhielle here, she’s not normally snarky or mean.
This wasnt bothering me until I read your post. Thanks Male Human Paladin, thanks for doing this to me on a non sunday afternoon. ![]()
Not true. A troll posted something on the old forums and they later replied “thanks for the game mail, people” or something like that (I can’t remember the poster or the topic, but it was a nasty post). Others have noted being sought out in game for something they posted. I want absolutely none of that.
Fortunately one of your Elven comrades has provided us with enlightenment.
I generally like Rhielle and have no beef, so I don’t think there was any prejudice. Sometimes a set of words in the right order just naturally conveys a certain tone regardless of intent. It’s a tool that writers use. If I rephrase something it will convey fear (even though the author isn’t scared when writing it).
I have one individual that’d be at the top of my list…
Man I never had anyone message me ever in game. I guess Im not popular enough.
