How do I group with my friend in the same layer?

So we both logged in and immediately created a party. 15 minutes later, we still aren’t in the same layer, and we want to play together.

Any ideas how to get on the same layer? Shouldn’t the party system sync it automatically?

its likely all layers are full and it cant place your party in the same phase. you could try zoning out of the area and then zoning back in.

thats the thing, u cant play with ur friends if ur faction has too many players on ur layer
